Italian service sector expansion loses slight momentum in June
The expansion of the Italian service sector was sustained in June. Despite output growing at a slightly slower rate, service providers were at their most confident in the outlook since early 2022. Following reports of new clients, overall new business picked up again, but at the softest pace for five months. Though operating costs rose at a substantial pace amid reports of increased staff and energy costs, June survey data revealed less intense cost pressures at Italian service sector firms.
