German import prices in May 2024: -0.4% on May 2023
Import prices were 0.4% lower in May 2024 than in May 2023. Compared with the same month a year earlier, the rate of change was -1.7% in April 2024, and -3.6% in March 2024. The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that import prices in May 2024 remained unchanged from April 2024.Export prices in May 2024 were 0.2% higher than in May 2023.
