From a charting perspective, extension is probably supposed to happen after a breakout when considering efficient market theory. The problem is that this currency is NOT beholden to those rules since the government can intervene without any recourse and move markets quickly via large capital injections. You wouldn't see the same with $100 billion being pumped into a stock, for example.

That said, the prior two interventions this year obviously didn't scare the kids enough to make a meaningful dent in the downward spiral. As such, any after hours pop could be seen as an opportunity to grab some profits and get out of /6J longs as opposed to an "October 2022 initiation of a 3-month trend".

Greater odds say nothing will happen though.....so who knows. None of us do. That's the only certainty I can offer

That's not to say intervention can't happen, but the masses screaming "IT HAS TO HAPPEN NOW OR ALL HOPE IS LOST!!!" pretty much assures you won't see it yet.
