In June 2024, DG ECFIN’s flash estimate1 of the consumer confidence indicator2 edged up further, by 0.3 percentage points (pps.) in both the EU and the euro area. At -12.9 (EU) and -14.0 (euro area) points, consumer confidence still falls slightly short of its long-term average. chart This month's Flash CCI for the EU aggregate is computed on the basis of consumer survey data from 26 EU countries (all except Ireland), covering 98,5% (EU) and 98,2% (euro area) of total private final consumption expenditure.
