14.11.2023 - The Producer and Import Price Index rose in October 2023 by 0.2% compared with the previous month, reaching 108.8 points (December 2020 = 100). Compared with October 2022, the price level of the whole range of domestic and imported products fell by 0.9%. These are the results from the Federal Statistical Office (FSO).

In particular, higher prices for petroleum products, electronic components and boards as well as watches were responsible for the growth in the producer price index compared with the previous month. By contrast, prices for electrical equipment as well as steel and light metal frameworks fell.

The import price index registered higher prices compared with September 2023, particularly for petroleum and natural gas as well as petroleum products. Rising prices were also observed for non-ferrous metals and products made therefrom.
