Sam Asghari missing out on multimillion-dollar payout over Britney Spears prenup loophole: report

Sam Asghari isn’t walking away with a piece of Britney Spears’ fortune, thanks to an airtight prenup — but as it turns out, he could have.

Us Weekly reported Wednesday that Asghari and the Princess of Pop signed a prenuptial agreement when they wed in 2022 stating that the fitness trainer would receive “$1 million per every two years” of their marriage.

The amount was reportedly capped at $10 million after 15 years.

Asghari, notably, filed for divorce from Spears, 41, on Wednesday after only 14 months of marriage, citing their date of separation as July 28.

A source, however, tells us that the claim about the “rock solid prenup” is “100 percent wrong, false and unfair,” adding, “He admitted publicly he is not fighting it. This will be resolved quietly and professionally and soon. That’s it.”

Us Weekly also claimed that the model-turned-actor waived any claims to Spears’ music catalog in their prenup, alleging that his name is not on the deed of their shared home in Thousand Oaks, Calif.

Similarly, TMZ reported Friday that the 29-year-old fitness trainer will get “nothing” but his gifts from the Grammy winner in their divorce.

Page Six has reached out to Asghari and Spears’ reps for comment.

While Asghari allegedly won’t receive spousal support, we reported Wednesday that he is “attempting to negotiate concessions beyond his prenup and threatening to go public with extraordinarily embarrassing information about Britney unless he gets paid.”

Another source told us that the alleged “blackmail” will “never happen.”

On Thursday, Asghari’s rep Brandon Cohen denied the insiders’ claims, calling them “false.”

He said, “No negative intention has ever been directed towards her and never will be. Sam has always and will always support her.”

However, TMZ reported that the prenup’s “extensive confidentiality clause” will not be enforceable if the agreement is successfully challenged by Asghari.

The outlet previously alleged that Asghari’s lawyer, Neal Hersh, seemingly challenged the prenup by requesting spousal support, with multiple sources telling TMZ that Spears will therefore “gladly pay Sam for peace of mind.”

When Asghari and the performer got engaged in September 2021, he addressed Instagram fans “concerned about the prenup.”

He wrote, “Of course we’re getting iron clad prenup to protect my jeep and shoe collection in case she dumps me one day.”

His upload came after Octavia Spencer went viral for commenting on the engagement announcement that Spears should “make him sign a prenup.”

The actress, 53, commented on Asghari’s reported desire to renegotiate this week, writing via Instagram that “extortion is illegal.”
