The advance seasonally adjusted insured unemployment rate was 1.1 percent for the week ending January 7, unchanged from the previous week's unrevised rate.     There were 190,000 initial jobless claims in the week ending January 13, data published by the US Department of Labor (DOL) showed on Thursday. This print followed the previous week's print of 205,000 and came in better than the market expectation of 214,000. This proves that the FED's rising interest rates are NOT having enough of an effect on WAGES/JOBS.

Here's the problem:

1. Covid Pandemic hit USA and many people ready to retire do so - EARLY
2. Not enough people want to return to work - causes increases in wages due to businesses competing for workers
3. Businesses begin to slow but there is NO WAY they let workers go because it is too hard to find people so business margins decrease but life goes on and inflation won't go away...
...because you never know - until you do!
