Verbal intervention are just verbal, especially when everyone in the JP government has made some types of comments regarding Yen weakness almost everyday in the past month. At this point, it's quite obvious anything they say will not be taken seriously by the market. I mean this is the natural fundamentally reflected exchange rate. USD/JPY is becoming a "carry trade" because of the huge interest rate discrepancy.

Agreed, the FX market doesn't run on its own, the economy of both countries (US/UK) is in shambles, the GBP is already in recession, and the FED is failing at giving the soft landing to usd, the natural market correction alone can get really heavy for USD and GBP.
After so much education he is telling us what we already know.

Well my trading account will beg to differ with you. It will eventually come back down. Who knows when but it's not happening as fast as you "think". It's up 1000 pips on GBP/JPY and 3000 pips plus on USD/JPY. What is your idea of crashing then? Even if it crashed 50% of the moves this year you'd still be way up. The trend is your friend.

Again you still didn't answer the question but I guess being down 200-300 pips for a pair that's been up 3000 plus for the year is a real "correction".
