Must be getting closer for Putin to sit on the table with the rest of the world. Lets see how well his gas wells will hold up before they start blowing up. You can only burn/waist that much. Once again Putty is shooting himself on the foot. Lets not forget the gas that now goes from Russia to Europe via Ukraine. Little children's tricks. Russia is done over with. He is a pawn, everything he does it brings Russia to its knees. They will welcome the West with open arms.

USD will take place of EUR for making the crisis Russia-Ukraine. Europe is a cold-based country. They need energy not only for production elements but also in the living areas to warm to live. Now crisis for minimum requirement, crisis for living well. All are expensive for a crisis. They are facing a very bad situation because of the energy they depend on Russia. Russia will make poor Europe like Asia or the Middle East a day-by-day energy crisis.

it is a mistake to expect the monthly down trend (eurusd) to turn into an uptrend in a bad situation due to the impact of the RUSSIA vs UKRAINE war, this is the current impact ..... do you think, big investors want to risk their money on the eurusd uptrend ... or uptrend is a desire for Kremlin for gas price

Gas does not go through the pipe, and now it is not known when it will go, the wells can be mothballed!
The price of gas in Europe is $3,500 dollars.
Now answer who is on his knees and who will freeze in winter?
What and with whom should Putin negotiate?

The problem is, why can EU surrender to Russia indirectly only for the sake of gas, oil, electric energy that is cheap and easy to obtain? This can't make sense

The EU used to receive cheap gas and everything was fine, then Poland demanded to change the price calculation through the court. Now the price is being calculated as Poland wanted. It's not about surrendering to someone, but about taking off the masks of hypocrisy and lies! Yes, and I hope there is a LEADER in the EU who will do this!

Some info in regards to mothballing a well. Notice the cost, technology required, timeframes, dangers and depending on well pressure ultimately killing of the well. They do not have what it takes without the expertise of the West. Gas shutoff to Europe? They will find themselves 50 years back in time and it is going to hurt. Yep.. Play your cards now Mr Putin.. this is about your last chance.. Youve nothing left to lever.
You have accelerated the wests move away from Fossil fuels more effectively than any climate change agreements. And Russia will never be a trusted trade counterparty with anybody again. Even by India and China who are having a laugh at you trying to sell oil at down to 80 cents in the dollar. Having spent 12% national budget on defense weve watched the result the Red Army.. flounder in Ukraine for 6 months, in a set piece conventional war against a considerably smaller power. Shitting on your own door step and pissing off probably the worlds biggest markets is la hard act to find value in. End of the day Russia is a gas station with a pretty crap 7/11 attached.

People here need to get this in perspective.
The US and EU are combined almost 40% of world total GDP.
Russia is 1.50 -2%

China, not Russia is the only other serious economic contender in the current world order.
In the big scheme of things Russia's energy resources are its only card. And theyve played that and have nothing left.
That and its effectively unusable* Soviet legacy nuclear arsenal, (*Ref: MAD) gives them a delusion that they are entitled to blunder around and disrupt the serious players. And disrupting their social democratic stability by disinformation propaganda and encouragement of extremist antidemocratic populist movements. The important result is the intense focus and priority now in the EU on energy and key raw material source diversification and a drive to attain high levels of self sufficiency in the former.

Gas and oil are not fossil fuels.
China and India will have competitive edge over EU because of energy supplies from Russia,Iran,Venezuela,S.Arabia while we will pay dearly for collective insanity pushed on us by Rothschilds,Rockefellers,Bill Gates and other western oligarchs.
USA is the most bankrupt country in the history of the world. GDP make-believe numbers mean nothing, what counts is real stuff, commodities, energy resources and productive population.
When was the last time USA had positive trade balance? Exporting freshly printed Federal Reserve Notes for real stuff from productive peoples around the world will not work forever!
US is a dying empire. Talibans armed with AK 47,RPG-7,motorcycles and flip-flops defeated and humiliated the arrogant elite in the West.

The abiotic origins of hydrocarbons is a well established fact in current science. It generally takes 20-50 years for schools and media to catch up with 'cutting edge' anything. The theory of 'fossil fuels' is a relic from the 1800s. The best example of non-organic hydrocarbons is 'Titan' one of the moons of Saturn.

{quote} Why Russia cannot issue that much debt and still stay the world super power in economy? Why it doesn’t put a dent in its currency power? Just asking.
Ignored
Debt and deficits are way to ruin and not the way to prosperity. It is the same for USA. The only question is the timing.
USD was backed by largest pile of gold in the world and productive US economy. Both factors changed. Later it was supported by Petrodollar scheme cooked up by Kissinger and others to give artificially a new life to USD (by that time it became pure fiat currency-Federal Reseve Notes),after US default in August 1971 (Nixon shock).
FRNs are also supported by CIA and US military-see the fate of leaders of Iraq and Libya when they dared to go against Petrodollar scheme.
But it is slowly coming to an end.Now they have heavy-weights challenging this scam.Russia,China,Iran and apparently also S.Arabia is pivoting away from Petrodollar. Time will tell how this will play out. There will be a lot of volatility. Commodities are the key.And also ability to defend yourself militarily from the bullies who are accustomed to colonialist/imperialistic way of living.
USD or FRNs are only a currency, not a money. Money is a store of value, among other functions it performs. USD is constantly losing value since 1971 when it became pure fiat currency.
USDIndex is pure garbage: comparison of FRNs against a collection of other fiat currencies which are all sinking at slightly different speeds.
You have to lend your fiat currency to somebody and receive from him an interest to have any hope to defend yourself from constant inflation of the currency.
Money you can bury in your backyard and your grandchildren will dig it up and it will still be money and have value and they will be able to transact with it.

If Gas and oil are fossil fuels, we should be running out of this fuels by now,
yet centuries have past and are passing.
Oil wells dry up just the same way as water wells. Common logic.
There is so much info we have not been told or intentionally misled by mainstream science.

I am on the fence about his one, however it has been shown that oil deposits have been discovered at depths way below levels where fossils such as coal and limestone occur from earlier life forms.

Also, as Tranqility wrote, there are sources of hydrocarbons in places where there is no life
Carbon-Dioxide: the gas of life!

Good childish story. Now go to bed. They cannot issue that much debt because they are not a super power. If they could issue debt without consequences they would do that any second. Total amount of gold on earth is about 200,000 tons, which is roughly $10T. It’s 7x Russia’s GDP and only 1/3 of the US GDP. So the total gold exist on the earth is only 1/3 of the US GDP. Did you get your answer why US is over the idea of hoarding all the gold in the world? It’s just minuscule for us. But Russia is a poor country and not a super economic power. They have to save their butts. Never again compare a poor weak country like Russia with the US, the only super power on the earth.

Russia,as far as my info is correct, has surplus money. They literally don't know what to do with their surplus:they cannot buy USD or EUR assets for obvious reasons. They cannot buy enough of physical gold, because there is no free physical gold in sufficient amounts at these funny paper prices emanating from COMEX and London. They will be forced to invest surplus funds into friendly countries and probably they will invest into transport infrastructure heading east in their own country.
You see,Russia already went through bankruptcy during collapse of Soviet Union and then again in 1998.They are deeply conservative country now. They don't need other people's money-debt.

USA government has ZERO gold and it is technically bankrupt.Only FED by printing USD out of thin air and buying US Treasuries,is keeping government out of actual hard bankruptcy.
This will continue until USD (Federal Reserve Notes) are destroyed in hyperinflation like so many currencies before.
US GDP is a fake number. Unemployment rate is a fake number and inflation rate (CPI and others) are fake numbers. It is all fake ,like it used to be in Soviet Union.
Try buying 1000 tons of physical Gold at these fake COMEX prices and report back how it went.

I the EU doesn't understand that suppling weapons to Ukraine makes Putin to get decision to stop the gas. The simple is that. The more stupid decision EU takes the more EU will suffer. The EU needs to Stop listen USA.
The Russian people will never surrender despite the sanction Western world puts on Russia.
Battle of Stalingrad World War II - if someone doesn't know it, READ IT.
The West need to know mentality of these people first.
The EU politics will not paying the price price of the gas and inflation. There will be always money for them apart from ordinary people.
Thank you Ursula von der Leyen ( Baron Munchausen)

Two points..
1.This is not about defeating Russia. Its about deterring Russia from further military aggression.
Wars cost money. The purpose of sanctions are to weaken the Russian economy, and to make the cost benefit of their MRGA neo-imperialism agenda uneconomic. Self defeating. Not worth the price.
2. Last time I looked, UK where you advise you are trading from is not part of EU. So why the personal interest spin? ("Thank you UVL?") UK is entirely aligned with EU and involved in high level of cooperation with EU on sanctions and managing this short term energy crisis arising from Putins retaliation on gas supplies. Effectively making UK partners with EU and the US Japan etc in this "stupid decision".
Talk about seeking Russian "surrender" and "Stalingrad" are puerile analogies.

Yeah,it used to be that way.But Fort Knox hasn't been audited for a long time(I think 1953 was the last time). Not even members of Congress aren't allowed to inspect Fort Knox.
Does this give you impression there is something wrong?

That Uganda story for people who have no knowledge of Gold mining:
let assume those 31 mil. tones of gold ore are of exceptional quality yielding 15 grams of pure gold per tonne. If you extracted all that ore in a single year, you would bag around 460 tons of pure gold.China and Russia produce (they are the largest producers in the world, together with Australia) 700 tons per year together.
In reality,as mentioned in the article, they are hoping for 320 tons of pure gold. Not 320 000 as they mislead on purpose their readership.
