When Powell stated last Summer that inflation would be transitory, that was my cue to fix my energy prices until April 2024, paying Sept 2021 prices and fixing my mortgage for the next 10 years at ultra low rates. At least I had some foresight to fix before these central clowns started hiking. With the shortages, money printing ad nauseam and pent up COVID savings, inflation was always going to bite eventually.

Much harder to stay for longer in Asia...too much paperwork, too much hassle...plus the weather is worse with long rainy seasons. But I agree, its also a good alternative to EU or US. Thailand or Bali for the ones with a budget and Singapore for the ones without...

I wouldn't worry about being kidnapped or shot in Mexico...more likely to happen in the US.
