  • China’s Xi says trade with Russia expected to hit new records in the coming months

    From cnbc.com

Chinese President Xi Jinping on Friday emphasized his country’s commitment to trading with Russia, despite Western sanctions against Moscow over its invasion of Ukraine. “Today our cooperation between Russia and China [is] rising,” Xi said, according to an official English translation carried by Russian state broadcaster RT. He cited Russian President Vladimir Putin’s visit to Beijing in early February. “Trade over the first half of this year has been [in the tens of billions of U.S. dollars] and we can expect new records in upcoming months, which is a testament to the great cooperation between our two ... No, what the article is saying is that if you buy anything that has to do with China you are de facto undermining the US efforts to help Ukraine. Time for the big guns to step up and choose whose side they are on. I would be happy to pay more for my Iphone (dont have one, use Samsung) if it was produced in US/Europe or maybe keep it a little longer before I flip it. China and India clearly stated that they are on Russian side in the war. So let that be it. Let them trade with each other and other countries like Syria, Lebanon, Afghanistan et cetera. But lets agree not to support them.

Yeah let them do that. However this bugs me out and I am sure that all China and India are not totally screwed stone heads and that they know that what Russia is doing is not right. Yet they stand by Russia and I am sure they don’t do this because of their unconditional love and support to Russia (there isn’t such a thing). They do that only to stand against the west and especially against USA ignoring the fact that Europe and USA are their biggest and most important trading partners.

Well we’ll say goodbye to China gadgets that break soon and cheap products from India produced by kids. And welcome a total reorganizing of the current tax system in the western countries and the creation of economic environment making it possible to start and run businesses within your home country instead of exporting everything that creates jobs and revenue only because of high taxes. It sound complicated but it is only a matter of political willingness to do it. It is done before you know. Cut the overadministraded working environments. Increase the effectiveness and encourage the smart head. Soon China, Russia and India will be knocking on the door begging for a deal.

Poor old Russia.. Its been ill served by history ..always led by a bunch of selfserving self enriching crooks.. the Romanoffs, the Bolsheviks, the arch monster Stalin and his Soviet successors.. and now by a Putin feeding his Imperial ambitions on a Kleptocracy, of epic dimensions.
After all the suffering of the last 100 years ..all the sacrifices made by the Russian people.. to feed their leaders ambitions to make Russia a Leading world power.. they are here in the early 21st Century condemned again be a second rate economic power. Little more than a Gas Station and 7/11 to the global economy... and a future as Chinas bitch. The great opportunities of the 1990s for a modern democratic economy a fair society where human rights and tolerance of minorities have been lost in the machinations of the sick mind of a very clever exKGB apparatchik who will sacrifice anyone and everyone for his sad 20th century playbook. As unspeakable atrocities are being reigned on the People of Ukraine becuase of this bastard.. remember that every Russian conscript that' are dying in his name in Donetsk has a mother and family whos lives have been destroyed too.

"In a time when a desperate Europe is scrambling for every drop of LNG it can import, Beijing is about to quietly swoop in and take it all away. Reuters reports that Chinese state-owned energy companies are negotiating investments in the expansion of Qatar’s North Field and are ready to close long-term supply contracts, in a move that could leave Europe facing even greater energy hyperinflation."

i can confirm China is somehow not totally screwed stone head, Europe might be.

There is the old putin and the new putin.
The new putin (or putins) is a master geo poilitical tactician, pre gaming everything that has
happened so far.

Yeah and since Putin already fucked up Russia, one of the things that Biden can fuck up is Putin and the Russian administration?! Why not?!

I don’t want to say Russia because Putin is not Russia. Russia has the potential to become one of the best countries without those old idiot communist fat necks.

Watch up for another wind of change.

European way of life is the best in the world in my opinion.
Your leaders/leadership are the problem. Complete amateurs or puppets.

When it comes to China/Russia vs Europe, i will support Europe.( minus the oligarchs of/invested in Ukraine)

Meanwhile Germany will buy Russian oil that has been refined in India so that they can say they are buying Indian oil - paying more for the same Russian oil.

The US has also quietly started buying Russian fertilisers again. (put sanctioned to everyone else...lol)

The economic war on Russia is going so well!

A bombshell investigative report in NBC has revealed President Biden sought to clamp down on the ratcheted Ukraine war rhetoric of his own top officials on fears their words would make escalation with Russia inevitable, and would set false expectations among allies.
In particular questions and concerns were raised within the administration following the late April trip by Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin to Kiev, where they met with President Zelensky. Their statements at the time asserted official US positions of wanting to see Ukraine forces "winning" against the Russians. It was especially Austin's words during a press conference which seemed to mark a strategic shift in US planning, portending Washington escalation in support of Ukrainian forces. "We want to see Russia weakened to the degree that it can't do the kinds of things that it has done in invading Ukraine," the Pentagon chief said at the time.
But in a phone call Biden questioned the statements, calling his own officials to account, after he was reportedly angered upon learning about rhetoric centered on 'winning' against the Russians."

"But it looks as if the tune is changing fast from among Kiev's Western backers, even as unprecedented weapons packages and transfers continue to get approved. The NBC report notes US officials are quietly pushing a very different line than what's represented in public:

U.S. officials are increasingly concerned that the trajectory of the war in Ukraine is untenable and are quietly discussing whether President Volodymyr Zelenskyy should temper his hard-line public position that no territory will ever be ceded to Russia as part of an agreement to end the war, according to seven current U.S. officials, former U.S. officials and European officials."

Ouch..
