And as a result creating food shortages especially for many poorer developing nations..

This power play and attention seeking agression based on wielding the nuclear legacy of the long failed USSR and ill judged attempt to reclaim a Superpower status by wielding a military stance which his economy cannot sustain, will fail for the same economic reasons that the USSR failed as Herman Kahn famously predicted in the 1960 at the height of the Cold War.
But it will make the whole world less secure less prosperous and will destroy his own economy.
