French activity growth recovers from January's slowdown
The French service sector recorded an accelerated expansion in activity during February as the economic impact from the latest wave of COVID-19 infections dissipated. Demand for French services rose at the fastest rate since last July, with new business from international clients also rebounding sharply. Meanwhile, inflationary pressures remained considerable as prices for raw materials, utility bills and wages all reportedly rose.
