  • Kashkari Says Fed Shouldn't Overreact to Temporary Inflation

    From youtube.com

Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis President Neel Kashkari discusses the outlook for the U.S. economy and monetary policy. The consumer price index increased 6.2% in the 12 months through October, the fastest annual pace since 1990. That has increased the pressure on the Fed from some economists to accelerate its withdrawal of support for the U.S. economy. Kashakari speaks with Kathleen Hays on "Bloomberg Daybreak: Australia."

Actually behind the curtains they are already planning the next round of subsidies. Since inflation is expected to be transitory things are expected to cool down. In order for DOW to keep moving 15+ % in 2022 which is the new mantra fresh money need to be prepared. I am just too stupid to believe in the books I have once read about.

Totally agree. Global economy has huge excess capacity and commitments to free trade mean (and its there in the figures) acceleration in free trade and business competition. Ask any CEOs operating across borders if there is no competition and be ready for a solid answer - No, there is plenty of competition and plenty of access. Ergo - no inflation. You put your prices up and I'll stay the same or lower. Its business, simple. AAA I hear you say the supply situation is dire - but supply is not constrained, No not in this world of the 2020s.
