Property developer.....the debt it owes both nationally and internationally is around 300billion - that is around 2% China's GDP.

Most punters are betting the collapse of Evergrande (like Lehman Bro of 2008) - one can only wait and see if that transpire. Hate to see another global crash coming....

Heard they are doing crowd funding atm, ie selling their properties at huge discount to raise funds. At least better than to be bail out. Whether their government will bail them out is for anyone to guess really....who knows.

Its China's second largest real estate firm/company , they run-out by liquidity or no more cash to pay their investors and banks which/from they borrowed , they currently have 700 projects in 200 cities. For now looks they are near to insolvency. same happened with Lehman Brothers in 2008

If they collapse it will leave big impact on all markets because some time same investors in different stocks exchanges.

- Evergrande is China’s second largest property developer, founded in 1996.
- To understand the size of this company, here are some numbers:
- Evergrande is running more than 1300 projects in over 280 cities.
- They’ve had success with real estate, so they also expanded horizontally, acquiring an electric vehicle company as well as Guangzhou F.C.
- They own a lot of other smaller companies, but their main focus and main business is in the field of real estate.
