  • Euro area international trade in goods surplus €18.1 bn

    The first estimate for euro area exports of goods to the rest of the world in June 2021 was €209.9 billion, an increase of 23.8% compared with June 2020 (€169.6 bn), a month which had been affected by the COVID-19 containment measures widely introduced by the Member States. Imports from the rest of the world stood at €191.8 bn, a rise of 28.2% compared with June 2020 (€149.6 bn). As a result, the euro area recorded a €18.1 bn surplus in trade in goods with the rest of the world in June 2021, compared with +€20.0 bn in June 2020.
