  • Greece Set to Open Doors to Tourists in Bid to Revive Economy

    Greece will open to international tourists this week, as the government tries to kick-start an economic recovery. The nation is open for international visitors who have completed their vaccinations, have a negative virus test or show proof of having antibodies after infection. Greece recognizes all shots, according to the government, which also plans to introduce random testing. “Priorities have been overturned lately in the lives of all of us,” Tourism Minister Haris Theoharis said Thursday. Freedom at the expense of public health? A full blown pandemic is a threat to humankind, much less freedom of travel. Folks better be smart enough to postpone holiday plans for a year or two. Beats a trip to ICU or morgue any day.

I live in one of the Nanny states and there are private Businesses that do not require masks to enter. I shop at those places.
Taking over control of Freedom of Travel is a serious issue and as I wrote it is being done for Convenience and political sake not from proof of Health Benefit.

I lived in the times of Jonas Salk when Polio was a real and constant threat. These are not those Times and Freedom to Travel was never even considered as an option to be restricted..

Polio was also almost eradicated because of ...get this a Vaccine. I also remember those times and I know a lot of people who contracted polio and everyone of them had long term physical suffering, its a horrible disease and lucky for mankind it wasn't as contagious as Covid. Using an anecdote of one or 2 instances where someone who was vaccinated got Covid is just a sad anecdote not science. The manufacturers claim its 90% effective so of course there will still be a few cases. You keep touting "Freedom to travel" how about Freedom from being infected by the STUPIDITY of others. Everything is "your rights" what about others. Flying to another country is a privileges not a right. Just like you could invite me into your home but I have no right to enter your house if you don't want me there. Totalitarianism isn't happening because of a few public health rules. Talk about chicken little syndrome.

UK and Israel are prime example of how a decent vaccine prevents the pandemic
