  • "Uninspired": Pound Sterling Shrugs at News of Brexit Deal, Sheds Gains against Euro and US Dollar

    From poundsterlinglive.com

The British Pound showed a remarkable lack of enthusiasm to news the UK and EU had finally struck a post-Brexit trade deal, a somewhat counterintuitive reaction to an agreement which brings to an end years of uncertainty for businesses, investors and millions of citizens. Interesting ..
I believe much of this already in price. Interesting scenarios going forward.. potential doubletop possibility on one hand and some marketmaker sentiment that bull trend is still intact..
With thin market over next week opportunities for them pushing to new high, but personally think its going down.

You’ve conflated retail with bad. Correlated but not causal.

Personally I think that this deal isn’t the ‘Brexit success’ Boris Johnson promised to deliver. The speculators was expecting a way better result which explains the extremely overbought state of GBP. Now that the show is over and the result is what it is, I think GBP will be just falling down for months to come.
Said that, GBP was going to fall anyway no matter what the result would be.
I may be wrong. Trade according to your own plan.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all
