So in America home of democracy, its not the people that select the president, its a group of non elected people voted in by the central committee in each state. Yeah, that's democratic.

In this modern age why do we need the "electors" they are a relic of an age when the USA was huge and communication was poor, not in todays blistering internet communication.

This rally could be a buy the rumor sell the fact type set up. A Democratic sweep would almost certainly mean a rollback of Trump’s massive corporate tax cut (a negative for stocks), but additional economic stimulus (which the market apparently loves despite deficit implications) and stability on the China trade front would be a big positive.

Bull markets and bear markets come and go, and it’s more to do with business cycles than presidents. Historically Democrats have been better for the stock market. However, if Trump launches a legal move to challenge the outcome this will unsettle the markets. Violence is likely to occur this weekend as stories abound of deception at the polls. I would think that this may rattle wall street as well. Also Joe is old and might not last to sit in the White House, so this would cause a slide in the market too.

I have to agree. To quote Mohamed Ali....I shocked the world. The world is shocked for the most part because Trump got 70 million votes this time around. And I mean shocked. Not all but many I am sure. And Trump could have had it all. A non establishment type. A guy with some alternative way of getting things done. But chose to pander to a base. People ought to be intelligent enough to see propaganda when it stares them in the face. If they are ignorant that says something about a society. Media is biased I agree. Some more so than others. But for us atheists and logical thinkers its not much of an issue. No one is pulling the strings. People do things. But some media has caught on that you can feed people with beliefs and cater to those beliefs and then make money off it. Roger Ales and Rupert Mudrock are geniuses really. The real problem is that people cannot see the difference. And CNN etc for the most part has its bias but they don't have a one channel pump fest for their guy from 7 to 11PM EST every night. CNN has a bash Trump from 7 to 11 every night because he called them out as fake news...well and for most of the things he comes out with. You won't see a free ride for Biden but FOX will just be doing what CNN did for Trump for the next 4 years. Trump is not a genius i believe we can all agree on that, he made mistakes, but the guy was criticized by the media for everything, in the begining of this virus he was criticized because he suspended flights from china and other countries, then later he was criticized because some say that he should have taken measures sooner, when he actually did and they criticized him for doing that. if he says he his against ilegal emigration, the media says he his agaisnt emigration, they have deported gang members (ms-13) and media says he his a bad guy for deporting emigrants, most of the media can even fucking understant what ilegal emigration is, it is EXPLAINED in the fucking name, ILEGAL, they cant even understant that its not fair for ilegal emigrants to enter the country at their will, when there is people that aplied and are waiting to emigrate to the USA LEGALY.

The problem with drugs is there is a huge demand. That is the problem. It never gets addressed other than the legalization of marijuana now.

No amount of recounts, lawsuits, wild accusations or flat out conspiracy theories is going to change that.

Why anyone would think the will of the people is something you can succesfully challenge in a democracy, even the American version, is beyond me.
Despite the anti-Trump rhetoric here not one state has certified Biden as president. Pennsylvania has participated in grossly evident fraud and the Trump legal team will pursue every legal path to bring them to justice. Interestingly the Pennsylvania legislature is Republican controlled and they still have the power to choose their electorate which can in fact still choose Trump. It will then for sure go to the courts. Georgia will do a recount. Arizona's count is still razor thin and the Trump legal team is also pursuing irregularities in that state. Michigan and Wisconsin also have some issues that are also being pursued. Trump is not a loser and that's why he is still fighting instead of wimping out early with a concession.

If Biden gets in the Repubs still have the senate which will make it very difficult for Biden to implement his socialist agenda. The midterms in 2022 will be an opportunity for Repubs to take the House and keep the Senate. This will allow congress to pass legislation and block the Biden agenda even if Biden vetoes since 2/3 can override a veto.

So all the celebration and chest thumping going on here is really just sort of silly.

The point is why the all legal avenues. Maybe for Georgia but everywhere else if there is wide enough fraud they might as well go on to the rest of the states. You might get a few hundred ballots with issues here or there. As I said on a previous reply, the MSM, they were interviewing people lined up in Arizona on Saturday up to 5 pm to verify their ID's on the ballots. Or maybe that was fake MSM??? The complexer a question is, the harder it will be to decide what is objectiv truth is. If we are able to build methods that honors rational decisions based on objective truth without any bias we could make tremendous progress.
