Martin Shkreli got buff in prison

He’s not so Shkrawny any more.

Notorious “Pharma Bro” Martin Shkreli has bulked up in prison.

“He’s got his prison muscles,” under his navy blue detention uniform, one source close to the defense noted of the convicted Ponzi fraudster’s first court appearance since he was locked up in September.

The newly bearded Shkreli, 34, has apparently fit right in at his new home in Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center.

“They like him in there,” the source told The Post of Shkreli’s fellow cons.

“They don’t put their arms around him and say ‘Give me your money’ like they do to other new prisoners… they like him.”

Shkreli’s sentencing for cheating investors in two failed hedge funds is March 9; he faces up to 20 years in prison.

Meanwhile, the feds and Shkreli’s legal team are haggling over how much he will forfeit and the value of his art and music, including a Picasso painting and the one-of-a-kind Wu-Tang Clan album he’s boasted of paying $2 million for.

Brooklyn federal prosecutors want him to forfeit a total $7.3 million in assets.

But Shkreli’s lawyers, led by Ben Brafman, counter that he actually owes nothing, since the defrauded hedge fund investors actually made a profit off of the pharmaceutical stock he gave them.

As to Shkreli’s new look, “I think the beard looks good on him,” Brafman agreed. “Under the circumstances, I think he’s doing remarkably well.”

Shkreli gained infamy for jacking up the price of a lifesaving AIDS drug, Daraprim, by 5,000 percent.

He had been out on bail prior to September but was hauled in after urging his Facebook followers to grab a hair from Hillary Clinton’s head while she gave a Sept. 4 book reading in Union Square — so he could examine her DNA to “reveal quite a bit about the former POTUS candidate.”
