One of my clients asked my for an expert advisor that uses the Fibonacci lines and automatically find the Higher High and Lower Low between 2 bars (Start bar to Current Bar).

There's a lot of Fibonacci indicators out there but I decided to make my own indicator for you.

Hope you Enjoy it!

Thanks for posting your work.

What are the blue lines for? Can they be removed from as its hard reading price with them in the way?

It would be useful to be able to change colours (am I being stupid here because I don't see this as an option).

What are the black horizontal lines for? The fibs are yellow but I get black lines on the 50 and 62 and anothe rtime on the 38.2 and 50

Thanks again. Nice to see tools like this :-)

Thanks, Guru!

This appears to be a great tool and just what I was looking for. Many thanks.

A quick question, which I'm sorry is so basic, what is the 'bars back' option currently set at 20? Does this just mean a swing high and swing low within the last last 20 bars? Also, could I confirm (I'm not a programmer) that for the purposes of this indicator the definition of a high or low is for example a high with TWO lower highs either side?

Really appreciate it.

Dave

you can remove the blue lines from the settings of the indicator. set DrawVerticalLines tp false.

Thank you Ahmad for the Great indicator.

Thank for the Fibbonacci indicator. its great. please i still need your help codeguru with this how one can make an Expert Advisor based on the Relative Strentgh Index that executes a trade based on the following criteria that would be awesome.

Trending Markets

Only take signals in the direction of the trend.

• Go long, in an up-trend, when RSI falls below 40 and rises back

above it.

• Go short, in a down-trend, when RSI rises above 60 and falls back

below it.
___________________________________ _______________ _______________

Ranging Markets

• Go long when RSI falls below the 30 level and rises back above it

• Go short when RSI rises above the 70 level and falls back below it

The Expert Advisor would also include a time restriction function. Trades would only be executed during the hours of 07:00 GMT through 18:00 GMT.

The Expert Advisor would also have following functions:

Select Number of Lots

Select Take Profit Amount in Pips

Select Stop Loss Amount in Pips

I don't know the exact criteria one would use to determine if the market is trending or ranging for the purpose of programming this Expert Advisor.

If someone has ideas about this please feel share them.

Thanks

Hi codersguru
I was looking for an indicator to identity the swing high/ lows for Fib for while: thanks for this one. I have another issue now: every time I attach an indictor, I follow the steps to attach it my MT4 fxdd. For some un known reason it will not show up in the list in the platform but it will be in the compatibility folder and then I have to pull this to the main indicators folder.
Help please

The indicator looks good. I have a little request for a tweak in the code.

I need the fibs from previous year high to previous year low to be displayed constantly on my weekly chart. If I plug this indicator, I will have to change the indicator parameters every now and then. If I was trading a few instruments, I wouldn't have an issue here. But to do that for 55 instruments becomes quite a task.

Appreciate any help.

Thanks

It seems to draw 'upside down' for some trends compare to manually drawing it yourself....? Any ideas?
