Hi everyone,
I am still checking on FF while I am backpacking through Europe. I am glad some people have found these documents useful. Please PM me about any comments or changes you think I should make in these documents. When I get home in about a month I will be re-writing these documents and making more improvements.

Kolachi - I hope you find something useful in the documents. I have looked at your trading method briefly and I like it very much. When I get home I may begin to trade it as well.

Cheers to all,
Lincoln.

Hi Fxdm1,
I have traded these mostly on 1D time frames and higher. This probably requires some patience but it will let you take trades that are generally good.

Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Lincoln.

Hi there
If you're new (1st post?) you may not have spotted this thread yet.
It's James's technique and all the answers are there.
The longer the better as far as time frames go but Jim does play these on 4hr charts, but then again he does know what he's doing.

For those of you who trade the daily pin bar, about how many signals on average do you think you get in a month? Looking at the dailies I havent seen very many at all... and how about 4 hour? See I trade it on 1 hour and I get a good bit of signals that are usually only for like 15 pips each

Right, let's see...there's the 2 that I mentioned already(nippy and EJ) that were together worth about 150-200 pips, the cable pin just a few days ago that went 200-275 depending where you entered...
Isn't 3 pin bars for 400 pips a month enough for you?
Not that the month is over yet, this was just the last two weeks that I remember...there were also other price action setups going on, check out the best thread you will EVER read in the public forum to learn about how to spot them.

I caught the nippy but saw the EJ and cable only the day after when they had already broken sadly..gotta keep scanning those charts

Don't trade them under daily at first, wait for the day after the pin to confirm the pin for entry(move past the top/break it) and see if you can get a good price to lower your stop size...read the pdfs! Read the thread!

Best of luck with it all!

having read the pin bar system and looked at past charts i can see myself getting excited, but...... one question that i cannot seemt o find an answer to is what relevance the right "eye" has. it seems in lincolns pin bar doc. that is an amalgamation of the posts here, that all trading signals are taken and fulfilled before the close of the third bar. so whats its purpose? do we have to wait till its close or not?

all help gratefully recieved
Its gonna happen, it will happen.....i know!

Hi Rockrat
I've attached an image of a current trade, which I took to show someone alse an option for trading these.
It's a daily chart, and I set a sell stop immediately under the pin with a stop loss level with the first eye. If I'd waited for the 2nd eye to retrace up the pin and set a sell order there I'd be up about 100 pips at the moment.
This is a bit tight for this pair, but setting an order right at the high/low of the pin is a safe option. It means that if the pin isn't valid, and the 2nd eye goes beyond the pin, you're NOT in a trade.
Pete

yes, but the perfect way to trade these is notice when the actual pin bar developes, then watch the next bar to see if it fails close to the high of the first bar. if it does short it in this case. there would already be a nice profit if you had/have.
