And then close up to the dates you mention (good memory bro).

For me, whenever it breaks below the 55ema (blue), I look to see if I can trade it to the 200ema (red). Which just happens to be right at the 38.2 (134.496) as of now.
Yep, I do the same. The only difference is I tend to use the 50ema. 134.50 sure would be glorious

Yeah, I'd suggest following along for awhile but don't let that keep you from chiming in.

What can I say, I'm getting old and the 55 is a tad slower... ...lol

Just a little more conservative but basically the same.

Yeah I'm not saying it will get there for sure. But this is the best chance it's had in a while in a downtrend. I think it has a real shot.

We definitely saw some north stars on the daily chart(s) from yesterday on EJ and UJ and oscillators are showing oversold conditions.

I see what Bob is saying and I saw it the other day.
I actually just take signals when the 5 and 10 EMA's cross either to the north or south.

I didn't take my own signals when this downtrend started (idiot).

Live and learn.

Anyway, we could have buyers stepping in on the daily chart and also with the nomination coming soon there are fundamentals in the equation.

Either way, I am just watching my signals and not ignoring them anymore.

It is also good to watch S/R levels which is what I have been picking up on on this thread, so thanks to you guys for sharing your insights.

It is very much appreciated.

At this point we have a respectable triangle here on the M15.

Looks like a descending triangle too which gives us the (idea) that it will breakout to the downside.

However, from experience I learned never to bank on that.
The only thing you can control is your risk and where you get into a trend.

Getting in near S/R levels is a phenomenal idea for reducing risk and making higher probability trades.

Should be interesting to see this thing breakout.

I think it will break to the downside, just my opinion.
I have traded a lot of triangle breakouts and they don't always go the way you think but most often times they do.

In my opinion I'd say we have a 60%-70% chance for a breakout to the downside.

However, you should always do your own research and make your own decisions.

At the end of the day you are the one who has to live with your own decisions.

PS: Sorry I didn't actually draw the triangle. I really hate MT4's drawing tools. lol

Here is a better shot.

I (think) it will breakout before this Friday, March 1st.

Hi Geppy

It is very nice to see You started tread

My point of view:

Daily 148.50 strong resistance 23.8% retracement from 251 high 2007

4H price bounce on 23.8% retrecement from 125.66 to 147.95 and come back in to channel

So I will observe this uptrendline for possible bounce towards 148 at first

Also possible is further correction to 139.43 32.8% retracement

Please comment
Workout nice

Definitely getting some bullish movement here.

Might be due to conditions on the daily.
May just be a little pop up on the H1.

Just went long @ 139.45 SL @ 138.90

We still have over 50 pips just to get to the top of the triangle.

Added some GJ longs at 138.25

UJ pretty big position avg price at 91.22

stops moved up accordingly, roughly 50 below entry, if we get a 100 pip up move will move to BE or +15

Better than expected Sales for jpy, just another catalyst...

Yep, this is actually looking to be a pretty textbook setup.

I'm finally home and on my real charts. I had these pink lines showing the triangle drawn since yesterday.

Notice how we've come back to test it right at the 50ema (this is a 30min chart)?

Pretty sexy setup if it works.

Holding short.

Not looking good on the M15.

The bears aren't playing around tonight. lol
I should just stick to the M15 when placing trades and use the bigger charts for general biases.

I will prob. get stopped out of my long position.
Just moved my SL up to 139.100.

Yeah, I didn't really want to say anything when you put it on... but if you were planning to go long, I'd have definitely waited for a pullback (like this one).

On the other hand, I don't think you should be going long at all

Stop flip-flopping on us, bro. The immediate trend is down for now.

If/when we breach 138.70 there's not really anything between us and today's lows... that would mean a third shot at that level down there in the 137.75 zone.

You know what they say about the third time...

Dang, stepped away for a few minutes. Taking scalps off here. Close to 50% retrace of today's low to high. Will let the rest run and see how far Geppy wants to take it.

Sterling is looking pretty weak alongside USD/JPY... we may get the ol' one-two knockout.

I love it when that happens
