Why high volatility in AUD/NZD Pairs?

Why are the Aussie and kiwi pairs more volatile than the Euro in the past few weeks? When clearly the most contracts are on the Euro and more prone to big moves by the news?

might have to do with RBA lowering interest rates, and attempting to devalue the currency.
