...hello everybody! it was suggested by nubcake that i should start my own journal and i think that this is a great idea as we have been looking for some new activities that we can do together with the kids as a family!

we are following the rules of a standard four way straddle trading system.

no stop loss will ever be used.

high leverage and exposures will be used.

god is good to me.

bumped up exposure, just prior to market close today/friday.

current equity target is precisely four hundred and sixty dollars.

potential downside/risk is known to now be a maximum of negative forty six dollars.

these trades are based on an old four way straddle method that was used by early american cotton traders.

maximum drawdown reached @ -54$

all remaining margin pushed onto table.

the pairs that i am trading have returned to their proper prices...




and now a partial profit is taken and remain lot allow to play for more money with an invisible trailing stop.

in the nine weeks that i have been trading, i have had to learn how to take a timeout in order that i might enjoy the simpler things in life... like by watching one of my favorite movies, the count of monte cristo.. i have watched this one about a million times..

Possibly the least convincing argument for not closing failed trades I have ever seen. Do the rookies a favour and delete your erroneous posts, if you still have time.

i volunteered to drive the band camp bus, be back in a few days.. my twelve year old says that we should close out these trades, considering the fact that we are going to be offline and the weekend is coming up, so she says that i should get out and out it is.

It appears to me your new at this. Care to share the lot size which you are using to place these wagers. That is very important information, because at the end of the day all your doing is hedging your wager. Even the lot sizes were the same, your still not guaranteed to close either position in green. Which excludes the ZERO RISK THEORY which makes arbitrage what it is.

my current position is as follows:

scheduled update.

taxes paid: thirty cents.

position type: four way straddle/arbitrage.

trading system: technical, projections are auto-calculated; trades are placed manually and closed by software.

i was thinking about what amberlynn had to say about my system not being of the arbitrage type due to the fact that i am trading two pairs(four currencies) and i must say that i even tho i do not agree with her that i have found a way to accomodate her and she is not gonna like this any more than she did when i was trading two pairs.

and i just made another human error...

my lots to place trades were set to buy 0.05 lots( from while i was fiddling with a game account), but then i fired up my live account and thinking that i was slamming two 0.01 lot trades onto the table, i instead was placing two 0.05 lot trades and so you can see how that cause a bit of a problem and i simply chose to exit said trade and start over...

new balance: $478.55

and now we add to it.

notice that my stoploss changes dynamically as the trade position progresses.

my intent is to get a couple of stepper motors, interface em with each of the wheels, and then drive it with a wireless atari joystick..

assuming that i actually finish this robotics aspect of this project(funds are limited), i will be able to drive my trading system down any street as if it is a standard remote controlled toy car.
