Having a little problem with the offline charts.
Setup the system yesterday and all was fine. When I opened the platform this morning, the offline charts didn't fill the overnight data gap automatically, so I closed them, restarted the basket indi. The missing data was there but the charts didn't update anymore. No matter what I was trying - no update.
So I closed all charts and mt4, deleted the .hst files, restarted the whole system and now it's running as it should.
Anyone experienced something similar?

yes this can be true, the key to this method of trading is entry, and if employed with concideration to overall market sentiment can be extremly profitable,

many will just load the indies and bing bang bosh ,but without some understanding many will not survive,

my advise ,of which kos posted at the start of this thread is read the previous threads on this method, infact there are many 8 or 9,but the 2 kos posted are enough,

there are many traders from 3 years ago still trading this with great rewards.

kos is given you the tools now you must do some work.

my own trading derives from this way of market behavour and i select occasional basket trades,

im drawn back to the original basket trading with kos new thread,im loaded up with his templates and will trade it alongside my own
.and compare .

thanks again kos for re sparking this affliction with basket trading

regards

Just as your account will bleed trading one or two particular pairs in choppy times. The problem is that you don't know which pairs to trade in advance, if you do you.... At least I am not. Money management, a set of rules and some feeling keeps me alive in choppy markets so far.
Don't say this will work better or not, fact is that you combine pairs and some will be trending, some won't. You will be more profitable overall when being able to always pick the right trending pair to trade, but this way you're able to rule out choppiness for a nice part.

Just to add to the system Kos has shared here:
Draw some lines, look for pull backs and watch some levels, don't just follow any indicator blindly and you might be better of.

I have questions about money management,if we want only 2 or 3% risk per trade (one trade=14 pairs together),how do we calculate lot size on each pair??
I wish have a basic M.M establishment, calculating the correct settings on my balance,if my current balance is at 3000 for example, correct lot size for the trade,if 2940 correct lot size for this last ect …

merci !

if your using the account protect ea,then thats an overall stop of 520 i believe, correct me if im wrong, but lets use that no; what ever your risk amount that you feel comfortable with ,say 3 % ,so 3 % of your balance gives you your total risk overall for the complete trade, adjust that into your protect account,

On my chart kos 14.15 off lines, the indicator VQzzz2 is always the same color. What's wrong?
Make sure you have the offline 15 and 60 chart and restart MT4

But on the protect account ea we don't change the stop loss, blocked on 560.If i want to choose 3% (90 on 3000 balance),my stop will be often touch due of the unequal lot sizing, that's i want to say.
This stategy would be very effective i think, the only problem is a correct money management,it's too blurred. With an adapted calculation,it will be more safe and profitable.

Problem here is that not all pairs have an equal ATR while trading the same lot size per trade. Would be hard to adjust the basket for the lot size per individual pair. Maybe a hard stop on what you're willing to risk based on the pair that has the largest average swings can do in your case.

Somewhere Kos wrote that he hasn't hit the hard stoploss so far and that a trade would have been reversed or closed (HeikinAshi) before that would occur. So you might want to look for what percentage you can stand to loose in case some extreme spike shows up and base your hard stop on that.

Well there is a way to 'filter' the pair and not only see for example one pair against the other , most forex traders don't know about it .

If you are referring to FX indexes, yes probably. Still you don't know where we're heading in a minute, day or month and which pair/index will be in a range or trending (except for the eurchf) in any future timeframe. What I meant to say is that diversifying can help you avoid some choppiness in your account, but indeed will probably average down your returns compared to when being able to filter out ranges/trends on any given pair.

Basket just closed out +620 pips red vertical line
VQZZ just turned red waiting for Has to turn for sell basket

If VQZZ turns back green look for a bounce off the Has

Trying to back into the rhythm of this type of trading
