Guys its very simple Gann activator, and like always its not the indicator its how u trade it, every indicator is the holy grail if you know how to use it and take some profit from it, so the bottom line here is YOU, YOU are the holy grail so work on your self which is much better than chasing any king of indicator out there.

This thread is not intended to discuss this strategy and this indicator let's stick to our strategy and system and try to perfected.

Under 70 (2 - 2.5), over 70 ( 2.5 - 3 - 3.5 ) depends on the pair and volatility condition of the markets because all the pairs tend to widen their range during risk on ( more volatility markets ), and narrow it during risk off ( less volatility markets ).

If you want to be sure to catch most of the price action of the markets with less risk set your ATR value to 2 @ the expense of losing 10% - 30% pips of the more volatile pairs, being safe is way better than being sorry and that is a personal choice my friends ( aka = conservative, moderate and aggressive trading style is a personal choice ).

I'm all over it, read my report to see the fundamentals behind it long term, i don't like to speculate and predict the future but now that you asked, short term bull, mid and long term bearish pending speculation that Federal Reserve Chairman Ben S. Bernanke will hint at additional monetary easing when he delivers testimony today.
If you read the report u will see that everybody is waiting for Bernanke and policymakers to address growth issues and hint to any kind of stimulus or QE3 that's why the EURO is up today because traders and investors are optimistic.

Bernanke''s failure to hint to any kind of stimulus will tank the EURO and this time to the previous support of 1.18760.
Hint to any kind of growth stimulus package will lead to a rally in all Risk On anti-dollar currencies and financial instruments.

I'm already in it several hours, for now small positon.

Additional reason: bearish divergence class A. (edit: h1)

Problem: for now still very bullish sentiment (that's why I'm for now in with small position). 200 pips on the table ATM.

Closing all positions before the news for +70 pips.

I think it'll be very volatile continuation of the day, surges up are based on strong trend up very likely, so... new opportunitiy for better entry. Also a chance I'll miss the move, but based on current result, I'm good with pips in the bag.

Listening to Bernanke, no more Twist or QE3 considered for now = Risk off and we can see this on our charts.

I don't know how long you have been trading, but I have been around a LONG time and gave up on Holy Grails probably before you started trading. Not trying to get smart here, just want to make a point.

As you know what, that doesn't stop me from looking for good tools, when I see something I think I might like, I like to put it on a chart and test it, and see if it might fit into one of the methods that I use, and there is nothing wrong with that.

I will disagree with "every Indicator is the holy grail", some are WAY more useful than others. BUT, your general point of view is correct, its not an Indicator that makes a Trader succeed, its the Trader behind the Indy.

Good trading to you, and thanks again for Ramy reports, great summaries.

p.s If anyone wants to share the name of the actual Indicator or upload it for others to test, I was referring to the one in picture with white arrows pointing to them.

@jayjonbeach

I believe that what you are searching for a step MA and MTF Stohastic.

You can find them both attached in source code, or at least they appear to be something in the direction you are searching for.

Note:
- With MTF Stohastic you need to define higher time frame than the one you observe to get "steps" and is buggy (needs to be refreshed every once in a while).
- Step MA needs to be defined to generate appropriate steps. As every indicator basically.

Put them to good use. I stopped using them after a while.

If the GBP short in the morning was interesting, current position is getting even more tempting, especially with lack of QE3.

Not yet perfect go, but USD index also shows good potential for strenght. H4 slope is great (+0.27), h1 is getting there (-0.28). Technicalls seem be be aligning.

I think I may have found the Gann Activator, not sure, but I definitely couldn't replicate the settings you had for that Daily chart. Thinking you must of had it set for Monthly, and obviously offset the two but which numbers....

I am currently working on a new system / method for myself, and this is why I was curious and considering this as I am a fan of crossover methods.

TIA if you share the Indicator name and settings used
