Really - only post #71 and you must be rude? Don't pollute the thread, all are here to learn and help each other, not tear each other down. Be nice, all.
Hope this does not offend anyone
Leona
Agree. Besides, reading a chart & managing a trade is a different skill than haggling with technology. (Celebreties have pool boys; I want a computer boy. Not interested in any "side benefits", just make the silly thing work!)

What you need to do is go to "visualization" tab on your SHI channel indicator, and uncheck "show all" and check "daily".
Then when you go to your 4H timeframe, you will have to zoom out to find the channel -- it is there, then zoom in to trade. This gives an idea of the pa.
Actually Leona, I think there's more to it. The visualization only effects which timeframes the channel "appears" on, not what timeframe the channel "reads" off of.

You need to open up the indicator and under the inputs tab select the timeframe of 1440 for the D1. Then that will lock the channel to the Daily when you're on the H4.

I would strongly suggest anyone looking into this system to actually do the backtesting as directed. Been starin' at old charts with the verticle lines on them for over an hour now and my bleary conclusion is that the magic hours that he has picked are quite good. Frankfurt tends to agree with London and within two hours trend picks a direction and tends to run for a while. The fifty pips TP and SL looks great, but if yer a little slow on the trigger like me TP might need to be a little more conservative especially if you get a raw deal on the spread being higher than say 3-4 pips or something like that. My suggestion is to get to the charts just a tad early and begin your analysis. BTW, only been lookin' at the Euro as instructed. But cable would be the same if not at least similar so if your spead is better there it might be worth lookin' into. I used to trade the Pound at the london open just using price action and came to the same conclusion, but really like the TDI and the Average Price Bars better.

I like the SHI_channel_true_TRO_modified_versi on.. by Shurka Kevin I forget where I picked it up but it was part of a trading system I messed with in the past few years maybe "forex pip taker?" anyway its copyrighted 09 but is as good as a SHI gets.
hey there if you can find that SHI channel and post it on this forum it would be cool

Hi X-Man, glad to see you started a thread with your method as I was alreays interested in your posts on TMS. Will follow with wheelbarrow in hand.

If not already clear, another way to save and manipulate template files is to go:

Template > Save Template (save to desktop) > then you have access and can upload.

Thanks

This indicator plots vertical lines. You would load it once for 6am and load it a second time for 12.
Good for back-testing.

Hello All,

First let me thank X-Man for the share and the time given to this forum.
I'm new to your forum but have been trading full time for over a year now. This will be my first post here.

Regarding the H1 strategy...

I understand X-Mans system, but my back testing has proven to be quite inconsistent. I did a 5 month back test formatted 1 hour, 2 hour, and at each market opening, including Synergy bar color and weakness/strength of the first 1-3 bars at a bounce or a cross.

(BTW... littlebunny's box app was a huge help! Thank-you.)

I found about 40% of the days there was not a strong enough indication to make me to pull the trigger, and a lot were very interpretive between a bounce or cross off/through the Trade Signal Line (Red) and the RSI Price Line (Green). With SL averaging 60-100 pts (per X-Mans rule of prior swing), and a TP of even 2:1, there were not many days the market executed profitability based on these guidelines.

I'm really hoping I missed something. Look forward to any comments.

This setting of SHI channel indi is really confusing. Let us wait for the X-Man's template that will be uploaded as promised by him tomorrow.

I've been looking at jumping in at the TDI cross regardless. Then if I haven't limited out at 50 (or 40?) by the end of the candle I entered on, get out when it closes with one candle's worth of pips. That's only for the New York trade, though. We'll see what our fearless leader has to say.

P.S. Dean Malone has a cool video where he shrinks the chart out of the way & just marks the TDI trades, then brings the chart back, & sure enough, there are the trades. I'll look for it later, unless somebody has it handy & would like to toss it up here before I find it. (Thanks in advance.)
