Hi guys,

Here is a manual method I'm using for quite some time - and it's working for me.
It's not perfect - but profitable.
I would like to turn it into an EA.

Works on major currency pairs - preferably on trendy market conditions.
Time frame: H1
Use standard MT4 MACD indicator with default parameters (12,26,9).

When the RED line exits the "cloud" - this is the entry signal.
If the red line is above the "0" line - enter "Sell" position.
If the red line is below the "0" line - enter "Buy" position.

Here is the "tricky" part: I don't have a concrete "exit" rule...
This is done by pure intuition... Any help or suggestion here is more than welcome...
usually my intuition is right and most trades are profitable.

Money management: Maximum 10% of equity per trade.
Stop loss: 35-40 pips
Take profit: Either intuition (...) or more than 3% of trade value (for scalping).

Does anyone knows of such an EA or willing to code it?
Comments and suggestions are more than welcome.

Thnx in advance!

been looking at your strat. seems to have merit. will be demoing for a few days to see. you do realize that an ea would trade in this fashion shown below. in your pic above, i don't think you have all the trades marked.

The trades starts/ends between the horizontal white lines.
Regarding the "extra" trade that you found between trade #2 and #3 -
We have two options:
1. Avoid the trade if one is already open.
2. Enter the trade according to the rule and end it in the same position as trade #2.

I think that some "logic" explanation is required here, not just "lines on the chart":

The MACD indicator represent (to me...) the current buying and selling condition.
If the "cloud" is at it's peak - that's a sign that the market is "over-bought" or "over-sold" (depending on the position of the "cloud" - above or below the MACD "0" line).

My last post (...Logic...) got me thinking again.

I tried the same manual method with two differences:

1. Moved to M30 timeframe with the same standard MT4 MACD indicator (12,26,9).

2. Added Parabolic SAR (default parameters) for extra confirmation on enter/exit signals.

I tried the above method today on live account (Alpari-US) - with much better accuracy.
