Where can I get the AO indicator?

I use the STOCHASTIC instead of MACD.

Is one better than the other?

Thanks for any input.

AO - you can find it in the meta trader indicators, section Bill Williams's indicators, it is named: Accelerator Oscillator.
Regarding the question if it better than another I am not sure what to say, because it depends on what settings to you use on them and your personal strategy. In particular, what signals do you get from that indicator. Are you feeling me?

I am just learning divergence, using it on GBPJPY (being the most volatile?)

I look at H4 and H1, and use STOCH.

Question, H4 is showing SELL, but H1 seems to have exhausted. Any opinion?

?

I think AO is for Awesome Oscillator, and AC is for Accelerator Oscillator.

Doesn't know how to use it yet though ... still reading ...

Are those arrows and lines on the bottom drawn by yourself or the indicator?

No, they are drawn automatically by the indicator.

Hi All, does anybody has experience on the so called time divergence, which consist in a divergence of the price process only over different time frames? E.g. on TF H1 price is doing higher highs, on TF H4 lower highs: this is a bearish signal. The book

Ultimate Technical Analysis Handbook, by several authors,

freely available on the Internet talks about it in chapter 7. Thanks

That is a bearish signal, the only mention I want to add is that you need an additional signal for confirmation. I personally use the break of the trend line. I am not sure the other how interpret the perspective of the divergences.
Cheers.

Especially in lower time frame, we may experience a situation where bearish regular divergence and bullish hidden divergence (or bullish regular divergence and bearish hidden divergence) happen almost at the same time like the following. When this happens, my action will be stay out of the market. Fortunately, this situation rarely happen in high time frame like D1.
