lol turveyd,

u know what merlin, diallist and darkstar would say to u if they were still around. they would give u a good spanking on this thread.hahaha

anyway, can u give an explanation about your system. a template will not do. how u take entries n exits would be good. how do u avoid fakeouts also?? thanks
And I'd ban them for being anti M1

Will do when not on the notebook struggling to type and more awake.

My system doesn't suffer that many fake outs, I'm just quick to get out when it starts going the wrong way again, normally a few pips in profit.

Uh Oh, Did I see what I think I saw?!?!?!, A M1 only thread....... I KNOW I will be following and contributing often here, since all I can stand to trade mostly is a 1 minute chart. Every blue moon, I will trade a M5 trade, but only as a follow up to a M1 trade that I took profit on. Will be back later.

The new NFA regs will turn us all into scalpers or holding trades overnight. I need a life and some sleep. who the hell wants to manage a hedge basket anyway? I will be following closely, Much respect to James16 and crew but this is a new paradigm shift.

Okay, Rule #1 Always trade with the trend, yes you'll get less trades but also alot less losers.

How do you tell the direction ?? easy!!

OKay not that easy, but point #1 on the GU chart here is where the market moved back into a Uptrend and broke up!!

#2 is a entry point with the trend, price has pulled back near the Yellow 100SMMA line and not crashed through it already, go Long Exit if Yellow fails.

Everyone see them ??

Use the really fast Blue line as a Price Filter, don't go long after a move down until this is atleast flat and don't exit on a quick move until this is the same or pointing down. This will stop you catching falling knives.

OK, back in the days when I was trying to understand something in the 1M chart I've got some advises on how to "read" Heikin Ashi candles. Nothing difficult just a little eye training.
So the first "noise filter" would be these kind of candles.
Then I've applied the 20 period HMA instead of fast blue MA.

So it look like this:

You've seen my dotted lines right ?? Based on the White and the Yellow lines, the Yellow Dot's are rarely taken out and the white lines are pretty good for chop aswell.

The markets been more trendy of recent than Choppy so focusing more on the Trend side of the system.

Prefer standard Candles to that, and my 4 SMA Open is really nice, I have a alert which bleeds when the direction changes to.

I did try trading with no price data at all, just the 4 SMA but miss too much detail, can't spot S/R as well or see spikes so that failed!!

Interesting thread turveyd,

I took a look at your setup and changed one thing on mine.
Before I had a 170ema running and changed it your the 100sma like yours.
Interesting, looks like better directional changes can be spotted faster.

Okay,...
Just curious, is this thread is for general discussion on the 1M and different trading pairs, or about your trading system?

We all probably have different methods. Mine is completely different from yours and I'm happy with it.

If you want to teach people your system, I think that's great, but if that's the case, shouldn't this thread be in the trading systems or trading journal section?

Thats 100SMMA Smoothed right ??? Thats the best line I've ever ever seen, it's turn the market with the trend rate is through the roof.

My 23SMMA ( Smoothed again ) has been skipping the price up on GU and EJ recently, buy near take profit when you see fit and repeat!!
