I'm looking for software that will allow me to implement some rather complex mechanical trading strategies. I'm currently examining: NinjaTrader, MetaTrader4 and Tradestation
The features I'm looking for:
- Strategies can be implemented in a common programming language (C, C#, Java, etc) [EDGE: NinjaTrader]
- Can be plugged into a variety of brokers [Tradestation is behind here, but it can be gotten around]
- Works on Linux/Mac [VMWare makes this moot, native would be nice]
Is there any insight out there into any of these platforms?
Is there a perfect platform that I'm missing?
