Morning Anthm, my thoughts on your idea on 123.6/-23.6 break! I'm looking at my hands and watching the blood pour out of them from trying too many times to catch the falling knife. In some of your examples the move was quite well established and you were trying to join the party quite late. I'm not saying don't do it, but keep plenty of bandages handy, you'll need them.

This was covered to some degree with BV, check the link below and go to post 309 and read through a couple of pages, you'll get the drift. http://www.forexfactory.com/showthre...405552&page=21...
Morning Strada
Ok point taken, so just to confirm, If in congestion we wait for a break of the -23.6 or 123.6 then we MUST wait for a bago signal either a ma cross with a cross of the rsi OR ma cross and ma re cross for possible continuation. These are the only two possibilitly for entry, Is this how you see it? I am happy as you know I love the rules set to follow, it just means we miss the occasional trade that does do like the one in my example. Which having read after your back testing should not be many.
Enjoy your week away and enjoy Sundays rugby.
Cheers Anthm

EDIT Actually Strada I just having a close look at your Friday trades, I think I need more lessons in identifying congestion, I see that you don’t solely rely on the bolli bands and further to that it seems you often ignore the fact that they have hit outer to outer then cross inner. Do you have any ideas for me here to hang my hat on???

Hi Anthm, I'm not sure if we're looking at the congestion issue in the same way so I've shown my interpretation on the chart below using the bollis for identification and the parameters for the fibs. What I try to do is find the actual area of congestion ie the range of the sideways movement.
This doesn't always include the HI/Lo of the previous big move. If the initial retrace is substantial then we may finish up with a substantial gap between the Hi or Lo of the congestion and the HI or LO of the previous move. This was discussed here on post 388 http://www.forexfactory.com/showthre...405552&page=26

Sometimes the congestion won't always be picked up by the bollis so we have to use our eyes. Always easy to see the congestion after the event but not always that easy until you've had a couple of losing trades. Sometimes I find myself battling on with the blinkers on and am late to recognise the congestion, so I'm grateful for the visual of the bollis when it happens.

On Friday's trades, yes there may have been times when I should have considered some of the rangebound PA, but I wasn't aware of any definite congestion indicated by the bollis.

With regards to the breakout rule of 123.6 or -23.6. I'm not sure about how rigid that should be. There are times when you see price activity that clearly shows some intent of a move, it may be a test/false move but I won't want to let them pass me by. But I may be too aggresive sometimes so it may be safer to wait for the break and then resume trading. Yes I know it may mean missing out out on some good trades, but one of the ways you could get round this is to move up a timeframe, perhaps to 2 or 3 or even 5 minutes, there may still be a valid signal there.

Yes, it's a great weekend for the rugby, I'll enjoy all the matches and especially the one on Sunday.
Have a good week yourself and watch out for those falling knives, trade safely, it's less stressful.
All the best, strada.

A couple of the trades I took today. Caught a nice move on the EURUSD. Held onto it a little longer for a better gain than my usual 20 pip target. Yes and I'm sure I could've held it, but hindsight is the perfect trading system! I've never really caught those huge trending moves before so I'm more than happy to catch 30 pips of it. Different story on the EURAUD. That is a trade I could've held onto, but the spread was 4.1 pips, and I remember a trade last week with similar spread that went against me. Another positive day though so I'm happy. Anthm how did you fair? I believe Strada is going away for the week so I guess we'll have to look after the thread.

Guess who's back??? I'm amazed to see that after all these years you guys are still here trading my system and keeping the thread alive! THANK YOU... It is quite an honor and I am grateful. I hope this system was able to help with your trading.

I've been out of the game for quite sometime, but trading Forex has never left my heart. I discovered that this truly is my passion. I have been back at it for the past month or so after quite a long hiatus. I am going about trading in quite a different manner than I have before and so far, so good. Like I said. It has only been a month and I just opened a real live account 2 days ago. To test the waters I started with a small $300 account. My account is now at $400 after 2 nights of trading, only trading 1 to 2 hours per night. Not too bad.

The style and system I've been using is drastically different than my original. However, this morning I was just studying the market and for s#!t$ & giggles I created my "Classic Bagovino Chart" and POW!!! I realized that if incorporated it into what I am doing now it would benefit me ten fold. When I trade my session this evening I will throw up the Bagovino chart and see how it does in real time. I will keep you posted.

Again, it's a pleasure seeing you all here and best of trading to you all!

This weekhas been my poorest week in a while. I do have a max loss that when reached Iclose the computer needless to say the nest signal is normally a great runner.I need advice on this.

Quick update... Since my last post I have more than doubled my account in 7 days which was when I first started. To recap, I started with $300 and am now at $645! Not too bad being I didn't trade Friday at all. So that's 5 days of trading, only 2-3 hours per day.
I will keep you all updated on my progress.

How are the rest of you doing???

who are you using for binary trading. I've been interested in doing it, but there appears to be a lot of scam artists out there.

KC,

I started with Trade Rush and changed to GT Options. They are both just OK. Lots of glitches with their platforms. They tend to freeze up, miss trades, get you out of trades late etc... There is one called Go Options which looks very promising. I may try them next.
In my 10 days of option trading for the first time, my account is now at $885 from $300. I never had that kind of performance trading Forex normally with any system. Paid signals included!

Tommbstone,

$100 bets??? No way! I'd have blown my account the first day if I had done that. It's my 60 Second System coupled with a smart money strategy. I actually start with $5 investments and increase from there.

wow your making a ton of trades a day then. Nice work sir, very nice. 60 second bins are not for the faint of heart.

are you using the 5 12 and 14 rsi still? or have you added others to make the magic happen.

much respect
