Hi Ap3,

Very good thread you started here. Congrats!

I love fastballs, changeups and curve balls type of Price Action trading.

Your USDJPY setup is a double fastballs.

Regards,

Yes it was. You could've also justified a very inside fastball to the long side, but it didn't trigger. It was hovering right around the open. Well if you love the fastballs, changeups, and curves, feel free to start posting some charts. That goes for everyone that wants to play.

Don't follow. Play. Also, I realize baseball is not a sport on the world stage, so I'm guessing it might be a little tough for people who trade outside the US to follow along. I don't know what to tell you except ask questions or google. You guys will be given free passes and will not be ejected for dumb baseball-related questions. But if you grew up in the US and don't know what a changeup is, go outside and start socializing with human beings, you need it.

Another thing that probably should've been put in post 1. The only thing I have provided here is a way to look at, to play, the market. Not a single word I speak in this forum nor on this site is to be taken as advice to buy or sell any financial instrument or commodity. I take no responsibility for trades taken in your own account related to this thread. I am not selling or marketing anything. I make no claims of being any kind of expert, guru, or teacher. The only claims I will and can make are that I've been trading 5+ years, I trade a live account, and I fucking love to play this game.

Hi,

Here is my chart example how I view H1 with H4 highs and lows and also previous Day OHLC.
With a strong D bearish close, continuation play.
Note: I use broker server time GMT0, so H4 may look different for some.

Regards,

Ap3,

I see there is a line for the daily open?

Regards, E.
I had to figure out where the files were. Here are some indi's. But if I could offer any advice, it would be to concentrate more on the philosophy of the strategy, and why it works, or should I say, can work. Because it won't work for everyone. Rather you didn't work IT. Don't get too hung up on which exact moving average to use, what exact time to trade or not trade, who's H4 starts where, whether or not that was an exact IB to the pip, etc. That stuff doesn't matter. A good trader can make almost anything work, just as a good baseball player can step to the plate with a broomstick and rip a double. And a great system will be lost on a novice trader, just as the best bat in the world can not make you a good hitter. YOU have to be a mental and financial athlete.

When a batter can wait for the change up sometimes that is a great ball to hit.....
I took a swing at a change up on GBP/chf, using the daily bars, and I shorted it and
have moved my stop to B.E.. I am in grand slam territory, although I have not taken
the trade off yet as my style on this trade will be longer term. As I write this I am up
+110 pips, remeber I have adjusted my lot size for appropriate risk, but at RR of 1 right
now, stop at 110 pips, (at least it was) I am at least on base. It is up to the umpire to
determine how many bases right now. ie AP3

My other ball still in the air is my short on the A/NZD is coming back into play. We will
see if it lands fair or foul....

Maybe a RR is a better way of determining you bases.......

RR 1=1st base
RR 2= 2nd base

and so on.......

What do you think AP3?

That's how it's set up now. If you have a pitch with a stop of 20 pips, a 20 pip hit is a single or 1:1RR. A 40 pip hit is a double, or 2:1RR. You can risk whatever % you want per trade, but that's irrelevant when calculating RR. All that matters is the ratio. So in your example dave, if you had a stop of let's say 40 pips on your daily GCHF trade, and you booked 110 pips, that would be a 2.75B hit, or 2.75:1 RR. Same thing. Does everyone get that?

clear as a bell

I have taken a swing at another change up in NZD/JPY long. Just started and we will see what happens there.

Just as an update I am almost to first base on the g/chf at +95 as I write this and

now the A/NZD is half way to first.

But my CHF/ Jpy is not in fair territory as of right now.....

Nice swing on an outside fastball. Little to no pullback but worked out just fine. Good work.

I am having trouble getting the screen shot to display here but if you look at the daily chart you will
see the pitcher is in the stretch and it was in the strike zone... it was a change up so little harder to
handle. We will see if i hit a foul or an out or on base. It takes time for my plays to come to an end.

DS
Need some help posting charts? Does anyone have questions? Hope I didn't scare everyone off by being a little harsh in the first post. I was only trying to scare away the right people. I'm really a nice guy (this will the first and last time I ever use an emoticon).

I would get the chart up and hit PrtSc and I thought I could just paste at that
point. Am I missing someting?
