Hi,

I have a question.....and this is just a question, not a criticism!

How did you arrive at 100 pip Sl and 300 pip TP?

What's your reasoning behind that?

Oops, that was 2 questions!!

Its just my experience with the pair as I know it moves that much. Like if I was trading AUD/USD I would use SL 40pips TP 80pips EUR/USD SL50 pips TP 100pips...still based experience with them

Good thing you're doing well with it and you're welcome to input more on how you use it
Not sure why yours repaint. The one I use (mtf version) does not repaint, at least not for the 2nd last candle if using it in the same timeframe set within the indicator. It would repaint if price crosses the atr line of SuperTrend set at 60 mins, if any of the last 4 candles of a 15 min chart crosses the line.

its really ok after the second candle closes above or below the super trend

Hi,

what I see is the Supertrend1 indicator is using the standard CCi set to period 50.
when CCi is above the zero line, the indicator plots the green line using ATR(5) displacement
when CCi is below the zero line, the indicator plots the red line using the same ATR(5) displacement.

Hi,
Jst saw the thread. Looks like a system that keeps you in the market all the time. Your entries look very late. I know its profitable in the long term, but you'ill get butchered in a 60-100ps range. Consider a smaller TF so you can have a smaller SL,or you could consider taking trades when price closes above or below the indicator. You can use heiken ashi for color change detection. Just my 2cents. Well done.

I'm just showing what I've been using for sometime now and its still working,so not changing anything. Talking about being butchered in a 60-100ps range, that really doesn't really mean anything if I'm understanding you right, cause this is a trend system and we want to catch that trend that covers the smaller losses and more. About an entry being late... I've never understood that, cause I always and still think that the exit is the important thing. You can enter the market at anytime but can you exit with a profit anytime? If I enter the market and price moves against me,someone says I entered late the move had finished,if it moves over 200pips in my favor then it was a good entry. This is a trend system and we are to buy when prices are high and sell when prices are low.Trying to catch tops and bottoms isn't the easiest thing and can come down to guessing at the end of the day...just follow where the money is going.

I am running my own retail business. Have been trading forex for about 8 years, and have consistently made losses each month, blowing my account 4 times, using many different types of indicators, some of which were self created. I have spent so long hours, sleepless nights, trying to perfect my system, so much time spent that I wonder why my family never made any noise about my trading habits. The little noise they made was about whether trading was what I really wanted. I never quite explained to them why trying to be successful in trading...
Hey,

I am in the same boat as you & exactly the same situation as well with a cool supportive family. And I am so glad to hear so positive about this indi. Finally do see the light at the end of tunnel..

Thanks

Good for you. I think by month end I'm gonna finally show them the trading history so that they can understand that all is well and that things are looking up.

Hey Kasapreko, good going with the thread, keep it up! By the way, I use a slightly different SuperTrend indicator than the one you use, have you looked at XSuperTrend to compare with the one you use?

I took the EURJPY trade got out with +50 pips thats cause of the further resistance.By the way kasapreko, how do you manage your open trade, do just wait for it to hit your TP after you had broken even to ensure your 300 pips TP, or do you trail it ?? If you do trail your trade how many pips distance do you keep from the current market position, or what trailing strategy do you employ. Thanks in .................advance.
