I have live account at Iceberg and also doing the demo contest. Same conditions in the demo like the live account, very fast support they answer within minutes, not to mention if you win money on the contest you are free to withdraw the profit without any restriction.

Why is a broker that is registered in New Zealand have the option of Hungarian language for their web page?

I am from NZ and I find it strange that we have all these budget forex brokers registered there. I guess we must not have very high restrictions to set up shop.

Bingo.

Lowest restrictions and oversight in a 'western' country. Specifically, you can be 'regulated' and registered by NZ's financial authority and not be burdened by the same restrictions, capital requirements, auditing, reporting, etc.. as other areas such as under the FSA, ASIC, IIROC, NFA/CFTC, etc.. (that's not to say there isn't any regulation being done, just that it's really lax when compared to other western counterparts.)

Check this out:

ForexMagnates sounds very pro-broker about New Zealand, as if the lack of strict rules is a good thing, but that's because their frame of reference is hating the CFTC/NFA for killing the US OTC forex industry (and thus, hurting a lot of their friends in the industry.)

Actually you have to be audited, you have to report your activities and you have to have a real office in NZ and many things more its almost like you are registered by the FSA. Only reason a lot of company choose NZ because there is no minimal capital requirements to start a firm with you can be a white label partner of a bigger institute. I do not think that these companies are bad for the FX industry, they will lower the spread everywhere and it is good for us. FSA, ASIC, IIROC, NFA/CFTC, SEC? I have got some names for you: Madoff, MF Global, Lehmann, Peregrine Financial Group Inc and this list goes on and on. Not to mention NZ was not damaged in the crisis like so many other nations, UK,USA, Iceland/almost the same, island, population/ thanks to the NZ regulators, FMA,FSPR

Hi Mitch,

Can I ask how your experience is with ATC. In case your non US, you have an account with fxcm, is that correct? How stable is the platform, no requotes, disconnections? Funding and withdrawing? I like their spreads and the commission is ok (maybe a little on the high end).

Thanks
