I like MB Trading. It is an ECN. Spreads are xlnt, EU is 0.7p-1.0p most of the time. They are one of the top four largest. If any other questions, please PM me so we do not distract the thread. You have a great attitude, btw.

To everyone else: Do not be afraid to take some time backtesting the setups. This way you will know how profitable the setups have been in the past (win rate, total return, avg win, avg loss), what to expect in terms of max drawdown, which setup you like the most, the frequency of the setups. If one does not take the time...
HAhaHA.....Thanks for the tip California.....interesting....I have gone trough over 50 demo accounts for testing strategies and never knew this.....

Happy New Year to you!

In my opinion, MACD is not necessary. Price action alone and s+r levels should give you all needed information for a profitable trading.

Another very profitable day (so far)...

GBP/CAD, H1 engulf, +20 pips
GBP/USD, H1 engulf / outside bar, +42 pips
GBP/AUD, H4 outside bar, +40 pips

Total for the day: +102 pips, equals an account growth of +8%.

I just switched to trading via a VPS, so my home PC can cool down a bit from its continuous operation. I can connect to it with my android phone, my tablet or my pc at work. Don't have to work that long anymore I think...

I'm still sitting on the sidelines (and very hard to do.) I will start live trading next week although some of you have used this week to good advantage. p.

Is the following correct? -

An outside bar means the open & close, the candle body, is greater than the previous bar and is the safer trade if all other conditions of the strategy are met?

An engulfing bar means the high and the low is greater than the previous bar but is less safe to trade?

I think I have everything down pat and then get doubts but the two questions above often confuse me. Any help is appreciated. p.

PIPRAC .....My definition of the two is exactly the opposite. An engulfing bar is where the open and close engulf the previous bar. An outside bar is where the entire previous bar (high- low) is "engulfed". I have seen the definitions transposed on numerous occasions in definitions so I believe it is likely a matter of "choice" as to which definition you prefer.

While typing my reply 60 minutes replied saying the same thing which I agree with completely.

PIPRAC .....An engulfing bar is where the open and close engulf the previous bar.
Engulfing bar: A bar in which the area between open and close engulfs the area between open and close of the prior bar.
Outside bar: A bar that has a higher high and lower low than the previous bar's high and low.
