HA T3-1 System

Hello I was reading thru this thread and it seems like it has some good indicators, and set ups. Has anyone had success on the daily charts and scaling in on the lower time frames. Thanks for your reply.

I am new to this forex trading but have been testing a lot with various indicators until i found the HA. I downloaded the T3-1 system but i couldn't get it to run in the strategy tester - i am not sure if its an error - it mentions: "2011.10.27 23:02:152011.10.25 00:00 Heiken_Ashi_Ma_T3-1 USDJPY,H1: SetIndexBuffer function must be called from custom indicator only"...
can you advise if i made an error is setting or something?

Hi,
What a great inspiration this thread has been to me. I only came across it recently but I've read most of it already, and Tonyb's system is the first where I've really understood what using multiple timeframes for trading really means. It cuts out so much of the noise and makes trading decisions much easier. Thanks Tony so much for sharing your knowledge of trading this way.

Read about half the thread so far and have a good feeling for what the system is all about......bit concerned that the thread died off after what looks to be a solid and encouraging first half...why was that? Why did Tony stop posting?

That question is: Can the red MA crossing the yellow MA be considered a legitimate signal or does it always have to be the other way round?

I'm no expert but this does seem to provide additional confirmation of the state of the market. Again discretion is advised of course but it MAY give those struggling with spotting a trending market a helping hand.

Having viewed the video for the thread (http://www.brilesmedia.com/factory) and having just added this indicator I'm starting to feel comfortable trading this. Why this thread died off I'll never know because this system really does help identify what is going on with the market.

Once you've got the idea of how this system uses the 3 bar trailing stop, then this really does help lock in some nice profits. All you have to do is trade the system as described on post 1, its that simple.

I HAVE MODIFIED MY MA'S TO 5 AND 18 EXPONENTIAL AND 0 SHIFT RATHER THAN 1 AND 3 SIMPLE ! THIS IS A PERSONAL CHOICE AS I AM USED TO USING THEM AND SEEING HOW PA REACTS AROUND THEM....

If the 5 and 18 cross this is a solid sign of a trend reversal but ONLY if the market is not ranging.

PA WILL EITHER BOUNCE OR BREAK THE 18 MA...BOUNCING INDICATES TREND CONTINUATION....

I read through the whole thread and, no disrespect, the tail end of it is awash with stuff unrelated to the system. I only added the ToR purely as confirmation of what I know but feel happier using as further proof that I'm correct. Even if I have to keep posting charts with no replies in order to breathe life into this thread I will!!!

Lets get the show on the road and follow post 1 people!

It seems the template I attached for the 4 hour was incorrect and did not have the trend lord attached to it which i make use of as further confirmation...

Your entry is correct so ,i have traded this system and so as i can remember the A.O dont have to be red in this case its enough if the A.O is below zero.
what ulso was very important is to wait for the 30M candle to close and place the sell order in this case below the 30m candle .

And as you have seen the trade have worked well out.
