Does this interest you??
maybe for a short-term pullback, but I think 1.63 gives way eventually.....and the buyers take over.

I got out of all of my long XXX/JPY trades today - this sudden pullback in the riskier assets doesn't look good at all......

The Euro looks horrible.

The real question is going to be whether or not the Bank of Japan statement is a non-event, or a "sell on the news" event. I still think the Yen is a short overall in the long run.

Awesome speed and a great sevens player no doubt, but 15 a side?....he will never get that much space, maybe against a lower tier team but not the top teams. He would be lethal on the end of my All Black backline.....

BTW, There is a kid playing for Utah (American College Football and Rugby club) who weighs about 30 lbs heavier, and is faster.

I'm not much of a gold bug, but this seems like a decent spot to get long. Can use a tight stop too depending on your conviction in the trade...

Its a seasonal trade as well. Gold typically sells off in December in order for people to take their profits. In January, they tend to get back into their long positions.

Merry Christmas to everyone! If you aren't Christian or in a Christian country, just make sure to buy your kids a ton of toys, and to argue with your family members later - its essentially the same idea....

Merry Xmas to you too Chris! Funny quirk - in Sweden xmas eve is the big day unlike the us and most other countries where today is the big day. Anyway, a very merry Christmas to all here!

I think USDJPY and GBPJPY are reaching an quite interesting point on weekly charts:
Major SR area
Fib 50
EMA200 (I'm a believer of it)

What do you think?

Wow, new looks for the forum ahead of the new year. I bet a lot of people will hit cleanup report by mistake since it's right next to quote... Otherwise nice fresh look.

My two cents on the GBPJPY and USDJPY: I'm not very big on fundamentals, but even I have managed to figure out that the new prime minister of Japan means business and my guess on the medium to longer term is therefor JPY depreciating. However, a pullback may certainly be in the cards, and why not at the levels you pointed out.

I think the Yen is going to continue to weaken. It isn't often that a central bank is told to print "unlimited" amounts of currency. In fact - I don't know that it has ever happened. Given enough time, I think USD/JPY will hit 90 as it is the target the Japanese are aiming for at the moment according to a few quotes here and there.

I see your set up, and don't argue with it. But to be honest - I think we could be seeing the trend change again. Its been about 4 years or so, and Forex markets like to change direction about every 3-5 years, so we are due as well......
