Hi again.

I tested 50, 20 in 15 minutes, where a crossover had occurred and I did get the alerts fine. We just need to wait for one to occur under 1 hour I guess to check.

Another reason I can think of is the following.
-Maybe the crossover had occur in that hour, but after a while the moving average is at the same state as it was the previous hour. (ie the 50 MA went above the 20MA for a few minutes but later on went bellow it again).
-If this was the case the alarm would not ring again until the moving average changes state again, as it could be considered a false signal

Regards

Hi fylaxtas, the indicator is working fine in H1- it's my stupidity not being patient enough to watch a proper crossover in H1.

Thanks for your time and effort

Hi fylaxtas! There's a minor adjustment needed in the moving average cross-over indicator. The main heading need to be shifted a few places to the left to avoid the displayed short MA figure getting truncated.

@ fylaxtas,

For 5 digit broker, I must input 1000 pips even when I want 100 pips take profit

How about when the crossover occurs 30 pips above the actual price as shown?

thanks

Hi Erebus

Yes for 5-digit brokers you just enter the pips value multiplied by 10.
If the crossover occurred 30 pips above the market price what is the problem with this ? I fail to get your question.

Thank you

Thank you fylaxtas, this indicator is great. It helps me identify when crossover occurs without having to keep watching the screen.
Thanks a lot. Keep up the great work on your website.

Hi guys

I hope you enjoyed my indicator.
I have now added another one in a similar form for Crossovers occurring between 2 Moving Averages of your choice. You can select the 2 types of Moving Averages periods and types and see instantly what is the trend based on them when a crossover occurs and several other information . (The previous one was showing what the moving average was in relationship with the market price)

You can get it here

the problem is your indicator uses the crossover price and not the actual price at time of crossover, might not be a problem as such, except in logic

Moving average systems can hit winners once in awhile, take last week, a signal on the EUR-USD taken late Monday nets over 200 pips by Friday close, who says the EURO is hard to trade?

Not only once a while but consistently.

Thanks.

Either would do. Have period 200 MA also to decern direction of trend.

Hi Erebus.

Yes you are right. It makes more sense. I have changed it to show the actual price when the crossover occurs.
Thank you and enjoy your holidays.
