Hi. My name is Jafar Calley and I am a Director at FXOpen AU which is an ASIC regulated, pure ECN broker based in the heart of the Sydney CBD. If you have any questions about us, please ask in this thread and I will be happy to answer.

Please limit discussion to FXOpen AU only as I will not field queries about FXOpen NZ (fxopen.com) since they are a different company so I can't speak for them.

Yes, slippage is possible on en ECN. The reverse is also possible and you can be filled at a better price. This is really only an issue if liquidity is low though.

Yes that is correct. The SSL certificate is for cabinet.fxopenaus.com and not for the main site. If you log in to the FXOpen back office https://cabinet.fxopenaus.com/Login.aspx you will not encounter this error.

The Chrome browser gives a more helpful error message.

Basically, if you don't want that error, use http: and not https: when accessing the website. Back office access will automatically use SSL encryption though.

Mr. Jafar;

If I open an ECN account with FXopen. Do you guys allow Arbitrage EA to trade, or Arbitrage is NOT allowed and you will eventually close my account.

I have asked the FXopen NZ guys if they allow Arbitrage, but the reply was that they don't know what I mean by Arbitrage, but that there are NO limitations what-so-ever trading using an ECN Account.

Could you please clarify?

Thank you

Hi Tarek

The FXOpen NZ guys are correct in that there are no limitations on ECN accounts. You are welcome to run your arbitrage EA or any other EA or any other strategy with us.

Hi Beto

There are differences in trading conditions, pure ECN account choices, local deposit/withdrawal via Commonwealth Bank and the company is fully compliant with Australian Law.

The combination of FXOpen's proprietary ECN technology, our dedicated Australian management team and the safety of Australian regulation means that you as a trader are in a win/win situation.

We also have better Fireworks In Sydney.

Happy New Year!

Hi Duxis

Your chart is from the demo server which is never the same as a live account.

Here is a shot from a live account.

Demo prices are determined by combining a live price feed plus the limit orders of DEMO traders. Live prices are determined from prices offered by LPs and by Live traders so you see there is a difference. There are also less resources dedicated to the demo servers so that we can be sure that live traders have the execution and stability that they need.

I can guarantee you that our live servers are top notch.

Hi Ganam

I agree the demo uptime could be better. We have no such complaints about our live service though.

I can't speak for fxopen.com but there are no complaints about fxopenaus.com out there so I don't know what it is that makes you afraid. We share the FXOpen brand and technology with our friends at fxopen.com, but that's where the similarity ends. As has been mentioned before, we have separate management, separate finances and we are regulated by and 100% compliant with ASIC.

Our staff here in Sydney are fully qualified with RG146 qualifications and are held to a high standard of service.

Why not give us a try?

I'm happy that you will decide to try us with an ECN micro account.

Of course I know about fxopen.com and I didn't say I don't know about them. I meant that I cannot speak for them because I don't work for that company

Hi Jadedmikey. As I mentioned before, we share their technology. FXOpen's proprietary back end for ECN trading is second to none.

Hello, may I open 2 Standard ECN accounts under 1 e-wallet account in fxopenaus?.
If yes, since the ECN account Stop Out level is 50%, let's say I have 2 Standard ECN account under 1 E-Wallet account in Fxopenaus:

Account A with 1000usd (1:500 leverage)

Account B with 1000usd (1:500 leverage)

On friday, from Account A I buy 1 lot EURUSD at 1.3000 without setting Stop Loss and Take Profit,

from Account B, I sell 1 lot EURUSD at 1.3050 without setting Stop Loss and Take Profit.

On next Monday, EURUSD open gap at 1.2800 (big news on Saturday or Sunday). Account A stops out based on Stop Out procedure (50% Stop out level)right? Based on example above, it required 260usd to buy 1 lot EURUSD at 1.3000, should be left 130usd right?

From Account B, my account balance will be 3500usd (2500usd is profit if I closed my order at 1.2800 open gap on Monday), 2500usd is earned from Monday open gap, may I know that 2500usd is valid for withdraw?

Hi klhh

If Account A was stopped out with a +ve balance, then you could indeed withdraw the $2,500 profit from Account B.

However, if Account A was stopped out with a -ve balance, we reserve the right to recover the debt from Account B which would mean that Account B's profit would be lower.
