hello everybody, can someone help me please: wich is the newest or best version? THV 3 or THV 4?
thank you for your feedbacks!
mex
I would like to know this too to be sure.

I believe that THV 3 is the stable version (from reading this entire thread over the past 2 hours, great read by the way!) and THV 4 was the final edition, but most mods seem to be for THV 3.

Please correct me everyone if this is incorrect. :-)

Hi everyone. Totally a newbie here. I've been demo trading on the daily chart (still seeking a solid strategy) and a bit during heavy trading hours on the 5m and 15m chart

i was curious how other members have faired using THV. I tried using it on the 1m chart yesterday morning on the USD/EUR (probably not the best move as a newbie i realize) and did not have favorable results. The coral kept me out of a lot of trades, perhaps i should get rid of it. I missed 2 fairly favorable moves upwards when the coral was breached but it was still a bearish color (i've been using V4). It seems that i would lose out if i waited for the trix to change back. Also i think the HA was throwing me off.

I've been giving it a shot this evening without the HA on the JPY/USD and bumping it up to the 15m chart and it seems with most moves i can eek out 2 pips on most moves. I am going to try it out tomorrow morning on the EUR/USD or GBP/USD ( not sure which TF) and perhaps the 2 pip cutoff could be larger during the morning hours. Also, it seems the Asian session seems to be very unpredictable, big moves somewhere between 8PM EST and 11PM est. any thoughts?

I know i'm a newbie, so any help would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

as far as i can see, get the best results when trix are crossing on the 0-line, or very close to 0. these are strong signals and almost a win. isn't it? maybe you guys have more experience?
what about trading 4 or 6 pairs on the 1min chart with that system? that way there should be enough crosses on the 0-line..what do you think?
cheers mex

I sorta think you are trading on a time frame that is going to donate your entire account to the broker... How about moving up to a 15 minute chart or a 60 minute chart.

THV is not the best scalping chart especially for a fast chart and someone new to trading it.

Get yourself set up with a proper time frame and work your way through a couple hundred entries and make notes and keep track of every aspect of the trades until you grasp the combinations for you. You will have to develop a spreadsheet for that purpose, it is a lot of work, but the paycheck will be excellent.

Check back in this thread and note which time frames MissPips is trading, you will see how a knowledgeable trader is managing this system.

Hello Guys,

Just a quick question regarding to the set up here. I realize that the original Candles are covered by the Heiken Ashi bars. what should i do to make the original visible on top of the Heiken bars?

Thanks!

Did you check the properties to see if it is a line chart or bars.... it may be that your template is set to line chart or that the clolor of the bars has been set to none. Try that.

Hi boy,

It is pretty minor, i guess most of the people stick with the Heiken bar all the time anyways. i am going to ignore the issue. But i do have problem changing the colors of the bars tho. I don't like purple + green, haha maybe i should quit whining just enjoy the winnings this system has brought !

You can change the colours of most things on your chart, look at the indicator specifications to see where the colours are set and at the page properties to change the bars

Thanks boy for your response.

I am going back and read through this thread over agian from the begining, and Cobra mentioned Misspips's MTF system.

Can anyone here direct me to the right thread? I'm interested in taking a look at that system. Sorry for being off topic a bit here.

MissPips posts in this thread, you will see that her charts are excellent.

She replies to posts that are not repetitive..... you will see her replies as you browse the pages.

I am pretty sure that she actually refined a couple of the indicators or else developed them.

Did you unpack the templates and get them into the correct folder in MT4 and then add one to your chart.?

I just downloaded and unpacked the file, and see the template file, was thinking you may have missed that.

Once you reply to this one we will check the next step.

The system has been refined a lot and it has a great deal of accuracy. There are many measurements that a person can use to make decisions. As with any other system a person needs to exercise patience and discipline to get success, often people are impatient and scrap the system and hunt for something else.

I actually had no idea as to where you were having problems with the installation, I was hoping that we could work through it one step at a time and detect the source of trouble.... we were lucky.!!

Good trading..!

Well, i am just fine with the V3 edition and happy with it now. Having my own system for quite a while, now i got this simple cobra method as an addition for confirmation of my trades (or the other way around).

I walked through some other strategies in FF, this one turns out to the be simplest and most reliable, cuz there isn't much repaint issue involved here.

I trade mainly xauusd, by the way.
