Dont know if anyone has made an EA for your method yet but i made a quick version for everyone to play with, maybe someone with more programming experience can take it to the next level. It tests pretty good on Alpari M1 data , but forward testing is an unknown as of yet. maybe someone with the time can tune it with a demo account.
WOW
YOU GUYS ARE MAGICIANS.. I DONT KNOW HOW YOU GET THESE RESULTS.. BECAUSE I SEE THE SAME CHART, BUT WITH OPPOSITE DIRECTION!!!

Mr.Sidus I have some question here about sidus V2.0 method.. 1.In condition,RVI has crossed, followed by MA crossed, can we enter the trade if the price is at around fibonacci Support/Resistance or should we wait? 2.Does this method need confirmation bar before we enter the trade(assume that both RVI and MA indicator have given good signal)? Thank you... for this simple method...and.. Thank you.. for answering my question..

Do arrows on Sidus v2 re-paint themselves?

Any guidance or information is appreciated.

Thank you.

Hi,

I modified Sidus v2 which features:
-no repainting arrows
-arrows appear at open on the previous candle and stay unchanged
-the arrows are drawn at a consistent distance regardless of TF or if prices are large (as in Nasdaq100 vs EUR/USD)
-width setting are fixed and may be modified if desired

The logic is a bit different so don't expect the same signals as the original version, but it seems profitable all the same.

Also, there may be a problem with the values on the alert windows. They give inconsistent results only when switching TFs for the first time(only the moment you switch, afterwards all alerts are o.k.), otherwise they work fine. However, if you switch a TF and want the correct first past alert then look in the experts tab.

I'd also like to suggest that if you have an indicator which repaints, the problem may be that the main loop runs in the wrong direction. If you see that the code shows it going from 0 to a certain limit with i++, then it is starting in the present and calculating back in time, which is wrong because you end up "knowing" the future in the past. To fix this, make the loop go from the limit down to 0 or 1 (depending on the algorithm) with i--, and you'll have to change the inner loop to make up for the correct time flow (past to future, with the present knowing the past).
That suggestion is obviously for coders or people who may ask coders to fix repainting indicators if their loop is wrong.

That's a link to the v2 PDF:

http://www.forexfactory.com/showpost.php?p=1479285

You can view all the links to posts containing attachments such as mq4, ex4, PDF, etc with their names by clicking on the little attachment icon at the top right of any page, to the right of the links to page numbers.
However, I didn't make a PDF for my mod version - you just enter the moment an arrow appears, which can happen only at the open of a candle. The arrow will appear on the previous candlestick. You can trade and reverse on every signal, but if you want to you may put a SL where you like, especially if you take more risk - an SL would then be necessary.

I guess this thread has slowed down. Hope people will chip in again?

I just started using this indicator. So far, i'm trading a daily chart on EURUSD and 4H on GBPUSD. Seeing some nice results on AUDUSD pair at the moment. I'm using this alongside PSAR as well.

Can others share their experience in terms of when is the right time to exit a trade?

Hey everyone!

Is there any EA for "sidus v.2" indicator?

that willbe pretty simple:::

1)opens positions after the bar(with arrow) close (to avoid false signal)
2)closes the running order while opening the opposite order (as opposit signal appears)

Thanks for any-help!

Here is an EA I wrote a year ago based on Sidus. Attached are the EA and the indicator required for it.
The code is messy because I have written it for myself and I hope it still works after trying various changes and undoing them.
The EA is MY SIDUS and the other file is the indicator.

i found out:

Your EA only opens BUY trades/no sell trades while closing the BUY trades(simultaneously)
rest things are all OK....

Have a nice day!

You're welcome.

You are right.
I fixed it and it now works correctly and I also modified a bit the indicator which will give the exact same signals only makes it more compatible with the EA, so please add it too. I've also added a setting which allows reversing the signals i.e. instead of buys -> sells and v.v.. Test it on any time frame.
Attached: MY SIDUS (the EA) and the indicator, both are new.

p.s. You have to remove their old .ex4 files from their folders, or to recompile them otherwise the ex4 files remain the same

Have a nice day too.

i used to think that,,sidus method involves slow/fast EMA & RSI,,but i saw something like "heiken ashi"(maybe)
(// double HASOpen, HASClose, HASOpen2, HASClose2)....

Does this EA count the RSI signals too(while opening positions)? OR just the EMA crossovers?

The lines with the heiken ashi were commented out and remained from another EA which I have written, and which I used as a template for creating this one.
However, in the newer version that I posted today - I removed those inactive lines completely.

about the RSI - yes they are taken into account too, you can see it in the indicator. The EA takes the signals which the indicator makes and trades directly according to them at the open of a new candle when the signal closed last candle and can't repaint anymore.

Hi blamshakk,

I haven't used the EA at all due to the bad backtest results. I just wanted to find out how profitable the indicator's signals were over the long run with the option to run the EA on a real account if they were.
Unfortunately they weren't too good.
(maybe if taken together with other indicators, not sure)
