Kevin,

This is a great looking method. I don't know how I missed it the first time around.

I don't know if you'll see this, but if you do, I have a question:

A pivot (we'll assume a low) is a low with a higher low on each side of it.

You can't know it's a pivot until you see the higher low to the right of it.

Does this mean that the earliest entry would be on the second bar after the original low point?

Looking at a chart, I notice that frequently the second bar opens well past the magic number. Is that a no-trade?

Thanks and again I'm sorry I missed this when it was first posted.
Hi bill

In the past Kevin has presented a number of trading methods of which this one was the best in my opinion, I rephresed the method in this post which you may find useful:

Those were valid and good methods but I liked "pivot high low" the most.

Greetings to you.

Hey guys,

It's been a while since I've traded forex(1 month) as I've been clearing the mind...and very busy

I have to say BB on steroids is one of my personal favorites... but it can take a beating in choppy conditions.. Kinko is way too risky... probably one of my bad ideas... I think if you use Ichimoku, you should use all of it... and I have some threads on that too

Happy holidays

Kevin,
thanks for your reply. It`s always good to have an originator comment his own creation - after time has passed.

May I add 2 more questions:

Which TF do you prefer?

Which method would you prefer nowadays?

Thanks and a very nice season and... yes, you are a very talented guy!

All the best

Forex37,

Timeframe is all relative to your available time:

If you can check forex < once per day = Weekly Timeframe or higher
If you can check forex ONLY once per day = Daily
Smaller timeframes get to be tricky and just depend on what method you're using...

If you are going to scalp the market... 1 minute timeframe or less... sometimes 5 minutes and rarely 15-minute

and if you are somewhere in between experiment around...

These are all of course my opinions...

Some daily methods I like: Daily95pips by mikelath (good probability set-up) and sometimes I'll trade my BB on steroids or ichimoku.

Cornflower hourly by lever70 is a good hourly system.... try to combine it with Jacko's anti-hedging and trend following and you will have a good hourly system...

Rainbow by linuxtroll is good for scalping... but takes practice, patience, and discipline...
I think I prefer longer-term methods because they are generally more stable.

Hi Kevin,

I'm a long time member of FF and have just recently discovered yet another imaginative and creative trading system idea from you. Kudos! I always enjoy reading about your research and discoveries. I'm curious about if you are still trading this system, and if so what your long term results have been. I'm a loyal devotee of the RSI ala Cardwell and Hayden, and use it religiously for my trading, which alas, has yet to become profitable.

If you could also share what your insights are regarding the Ichimoku cloud I'd really appreciate it. Please feel free to take your time as I now understand that you are in college. Wish I had discovered trading at that time of my life...(around 25 years ago!) I'd have paid off the student loans much more quickly!!

Joe

I have been using this system successfully for 3 weeks, gradually increasing my lot size as my confidence grows.

It is very easy to administer and only takes a few minutes a day. I like to look for trades when daily candle closes, before London open and at NY open. FYI, on Oanda, the daily candle closes at 9pm MST (11pm EST), which is different than many platforms.

Thanks for the system!

time gap between 190th and 191st post is 4 years....I started to think while reading the post from the beginning that, whether anyone is using this strategy or not..... the 191st assured me that, it's still being used... I think, I should try it.....

I Read All Your Post,
i have some confusion in Time-Frame, Indicator, And Time.

1. You Posted Example Pic Without Timeframe,
2. i Convert CST To GMT but not confirmed 8-10. plz confirm MT4 Time. We'll Adjust It.
3. How To Get Low Pivot And High Pivot coz time frame not confirm and without indicator hw does it possible.
yeah, its possible i knw but for that we require less time-frame, but which?? its not confirmed.

Confirm all these things, so i can start working on it,

About RSI :
Its Fix That
"Buy" when RSI moving from below I.e From 40 and Cross 50,
and
Sell when Moving From Above I.e From 60 and Cross 50.
