ok enough trying to post charts.
something about myself... i am a profesional cleaner. ik have a big set of keys for one big office and a couple of houses. this is not a cool job but i like the freedom i have. this is also what i like about retail-trading.
FREEDOM.
besided work i have nice hobbies. play the piano, accordeon and work in my vegetable-garden.
since i was young i was interested in financial markets and i've joined many trading-contests and often i did wel. with stocks, options and later turbo's speeders etc. i could never open a real account and actively trade, because i have not enough risk capital.
since i found FX (less than one year ago) i read some books, traded a demo account like i would with a 100$ account and slowly made some money. then i opened a live account. my 100$ is now $85 in 3 months. i made some small gains since i reduced my scout size from 100 to 10 units.
i was never realy serious about my study mainly because i was not confident i could make money in the future. the books i've read did not convince me and my analysis was different every day.
then i found fti's thread "technical analysis fallacy" for many months i try to practice the way teached in this thread and keep going back and read the thread and notes.
when i post a chart i will use concepts from this TAF thread to explain my trades. this is like an diary for me to read back and see my past mistakes also check if i improve. maybe there will be a kind person to correct me when i am wrong.
i will not discuss or explain TAF basics here because, if you are interested, you should visit the original thread.
enough about me.... some rules i follow in the next post.
kind greets, pax

Hi Pax,
Me too I play guitar, last week I packed 2 guitars in their cases. I said to myself I'll play again when I trade full time.
Again I look at your charts they look Ok to me but I forgot to tell you save in JPEG or jpg format ,I saw you have done that.
I dont know any free program which easy to use but I guess if you play around with paint brush you'll get use to it. Oh I have free program open office -draw (i tried but it's quite difficult to use) I think you've heard about open office. you can download free.
one more think you can move around(up/down & left/right) the picture(chart) after you paste the chart, look the right & buttom of the page you can scroll around.
C U hope you doing find with your trade.
I 'll look at your journal too
Pete
PS 1.Now I'm doing revision of the thread page 120 now, you should study at leighsww posts they are great and the way she traded is very simple look at her charts I learned a lot from her. I saw her post some where she is making about 100+ pips per day(i'm not sure I'll confirm again when I read all of her post) I think she was banned from the trade, some personal issue which I dare not to ask in the thread. good luck Pax. about rescue 30 pips I still think about it but I will look at pulse & prices of market Thanks Pax.
2. I've happened to read from Lusan post page 122 post 1823 5 mins trend never last more than 1 hour without reversal so it's good for rescue.
btw do you know how to put their comments into reply post?

hey pete,
good to hear you play music also. i think you should unpack the guitars. i played less piano because i was so focussed on trading. but i feel playing music is relaxing and good for my mindset.
i was thinking about leighsww also. i hope she is doing well because see seemed such a great lady and it is her who convinced fti to open the thread!!!
about the comments in a reply post. i would click on the number of the post (right hand upside) and then copy paste the url in the adres window like this #1. i dont know how some people create a blue quote window in their post.

i wish you well http://leighswishingwell.com/

i had 20 units from last week in profit this morning. so i was too quick to ad to my position. i timed my first trades wrong but i was confident the downtrend was still valid.
thanks to patience i could close all my trades for a profit and catch a run down.
i still believe the trend is down so i have 10unit scout in and not actively trading.
kind greets, pax

Hi Pax,
my working time is very long(play music when you enjoy it's going to be few hrs) so listen to music is enough. I know you feel relax & better when you play music but I dont have much time I concentrate on study the thread & pratice so I can be able to trade full time soon.
about comment in reply post: I also wanted to know how to do it. Well I know now after I read your comment then I've tried, it works.
you select the comment you want to post then 'right hand 'click at mouse select copy then go to your reply post 'right hand' click then select paste. That's it how easy. I'm very happy I can do it now.
note: I think it's better to make your font bigger in the chart so easy to read I'm going to do that too.
about leighsww how do you know her business website? I hope she is doing well too but I guess she will doing well cos she is a smart lady.
Good luck Pax good pips & good heath too

hello pete,
do you mean to to make the "paint" text and numbers bigger... i think that's a good idea. if you see a chart you cannot read, you can click on it. when you then click again a new window opens on wich you can zoom in.
i am looking forward to some fti-quotes in replies from you.
leighs wishing well had a link below her posts. when you mentioned her, i went there to see if the site is still online. i think this a good sign.
i realy respect your big dedication in study and trading. this makes me think you can be a good general and commander.
wishing you all the best, pax

i asumed yesterday that the EU down trend was real and decided to leave 10 unit in. in the evening my illusion was still strong.
i woke up this morning with 150 pips against me and before rescue it was over 200. i rescued succesfuly but i doubt now. was i wrong to use 190 units to recue 10 units?
no more overnight trades for me.
i like to hear your thoughts.
i will stay out of markets to day and work in the vegie-garden.
kind greets, pax

i traded bad today. it has to do with lack of time and trading to agressive.
i have some thinking to do about my time-handicap.
maybe even only scout in trend direction. fast attacks based on PA and leave scout in trend direction where i close the attack.
it could be dangerously piggish what i say now but... i am thinking attack both ways.
EDIT: i did some demotrading like i said above... BAD IDEA!
the idea has to be: stay as close to the profesional way as possible for me.
kind greets, pax

44 hours ago i said "no more overnight trades for me"
i realy have discipline problem, but i am flexible. i don't know what is more important. i think the markets will teach me.
i had a strong feeling the fomc downsweep was over so i put in a long scout to leave overnight.
what happend can be seen on the chart below.
kind greets, pax

today iam realy happy with my way of profit taking. this "dance" topic was discussed in the TAF thread and today i practiced well.
the way i put in the trades was pretty agressive (lack of time) and i wanted to have some position to TP on when a impulse would start.
gamble in the direction of the 1HR.trend

i want to trade whenever i open my platform.
normaly i've put in a scout in the direction of the main trend and add trades on little retraces, taking profits when i felt like it.
when price was very far from 12sma on the 5 min chart i sometimes trade countertrend.
many times i have only 1 or 2 hours and this is not enough for this MO.
some time ago i tried to explain trends and ranges to my deaf brother. he needs visual explanations so i told him a range is like a batlle-front, the winner moves on (an impulse run) untill it encounters the enemy and a new front/range is there.
from then on i decided to zoom in to 1min.tf so better see what's going on in little ranges. i only watched higher TF for levels/warning.
i traded only PA wich is realy an eyeopener to me. no trading levels and patterns wich i was looking for before.
i try to only to enter in the range maybe breakout ?? and TP when it starts to run. when it stops i want to be out and watch again. this will test my discipline to cut losses quick when i am wrong.
this is my plan!!
i am just starting to look at pure PA, but i realy believe this is good for my development and it will help me when i have more time for real battles.
for now guerrilia trading.
