Coronavirus is a bunch of hooey, that's why it's not affecting the markets. Some people in China caught a cold. Do you suppose a trillion dollars a week might be one reason the markets pushed up late last year? url

OK, I'm going to ask the stupid question that I'm sure has been answered before: WHAT are we actually buying and selling? Futures? Actual gold on margin? Depends on the broker? I'm on an ECN broker, so currency trades actually go to the interbank ...

The definition at the beginning of the thread is certainly interesting - to play a game for money. OK, we're all gambling, but that's not how I define gambling. I go with the definition of betting on something with a random outcome - roulette, dice, ...

Where is this information? Your trade idea is good and would result in a leading indicator with good prediction.

Thanks for that, Drolph. So, my indicator works quite well on the 15M, but I still consider it a scalp, looking for 5-10 pips. Is it safe to say that, if it doesn't work on MT4 backtest, then it isn't going to work any better doing a really good ...

Wouldn't that be called "forward testing"?
- How does one get a good backtest?
Why the blazes can't we get a good backtest? There are instructions on to get a 99% modeling ...

It didn't ignore your stop; price gapped. Your stop says to close if the market goes below your stop price, and it did. It just didn't do it slowly, it gapped down.

Backtest isn't going to give the whole pictures, since it's supposed to run on several pairs, along with a separate EA to close all trades the other EA opens. i don't think there's a way to run more than one EA on backtest... You surely make a good ...

You're right, NFP hardly did anything. In fact, the dollar went down first on the good news, then reversed later. Around noon eastern time is when the dollar really dropped, I figured it had to be the Fed talks. If I wanted to know "Why?" I would ...

Any post that claims to have something that makes money will go on and on. If it actually has some promise or genuine merit, or requires no work to make money, then it will go on forever. I can see the point of the naysayers. With no verifiable ...

He lumps Social Security into "entitlements". That word is a euphemism for "handout", and SS is NOT a handout. You've seen the math - if we put that money into CD's, we'd retire with 5 or 10 times as much monthly income as they give in return for ...

US taxes? File an extension. File something. Years ago I couldn't pay so I didn't file, hoping it would take them awhile to notice. When I called the IRS, I found out that the penalty for not paying was interest on the amount owed, at that time ...

Wow, thanks for that info. What's the best way to record trading session / screen activity? Well, maybe not the best, how about the lowest cost? Here's the tab. Looks like it took about 40 seconds to open my pending (buy limit) order. In the ...

Mine is MT4 ECN. Sometimes it's instant, sometimes it's very slow. I emailed them, here's the response: Dear Client, Please note that we're an ECN brokerage house and therefore on your Live trading accounts that you have with us orders are sent ...

So he started this thread over a year ago, and finally just now gives the plug for his signal service?

Absolutely it's $150 for each wire transfer out of the account. I'm going to complain some more. I just hit a close order on the X, and it took a solid minute to execute. I'd say. Maybe it seemed longer than it was, but it was a very long time... ...

Wow, that's a concern. Plus, they charge $150 to wire to your bank. I asked about this and they said they can't lower it because that's what they pay. Fair enough. I plan to look at bitcoin to do withdrawals, but I don't know how to do that yet.

Started trading live with Tradersway a week ago, and thought I would complain for awhile. Servers went down night before last when the yen got volatile, I wasn't happy about being cut off from my trades. Now they're still wonky. Press the button to ...

I finally got it, folks. Axiom 11: It has to be fun, or you will not succeed. If it's not fun, you certainly won't succeed. That's why you have to find YOUR system. We're all different, so what's fun will be different to each person. Trading can be ...
