I had some issues with the indicator just posted (only related to levels), so I changed the values. I think it has to do with 5 digit or 4 digit broker feeds. The attached file works for 5 digit feeds. file

Thank you, GL. Still listening.

Amen to 2ii2c!

So, technically, you've made the switch due to volatility, and not necessarily because ATR is large. Makes sense. (and thanks, as always) On a side note, I'm so accustomed to watching only EU that I missed both of EJ's phenomenal trades today. ...

Due to the Yen's higher daily ATR, may I assume you use a higher percentage for calculating stops/targets? If this is too specific, no worries.

SP and Psychofant, thank you both for your help and input. EURJPY moves *fast*!
- FFJeternal replied Feb 4, 2013
Absolutely, 100% agree on ATR-based stops (and targets). A gem I learned just over a year ago now that, as you clearly stated, allows someone to place stops and targets based on an ever-changing market. Looking forward to the next essay.

That is how I interpreted SP's response when he stated his weekly open is set at 0500 GMT.

My sincere thanks for your thorough response. I am listening.

This is a chart of GU 5min. I have marked Weekly Open and Last Week's Close, as they pertain to my question. (Forgive my indicators, please, which I use personally and slightly profitably.) At 5am GMT, our open is set. Price goes up moderately (less ...

Thank you for your clarification and definition of 5am GMT weekly open. Much appreciated. And your directional tip did not go unnoticed.

Thank you. Now, another question, please. Last week's close: 1.3639 This week's open: 1.3650 Given that these are only 11 pips apart, is this something that you actually watch and use discretion, versus a touch trade?

So, *not* for the purpose of making trade calls (I mean that sincerely), but to check my understanding, may I assume that you have at least the following lines on your chart? (Of course, broker differences will affect numbers.) Last week's high: ...

I just wanted to make sure that my interest in seeing the results in no way takes away from the deep respect and trust that you have developed on this thread. Suffice it to say that, right or wrong, I would be willing to trade your method completely ...

Well, I have spent most of the afternoon and all of the Super Bowl reading this thread. For now, all I can say is thank you to SP. Outstanding information that will absolutely add to what I "see" everyday. To Psychofant, I would LOVE to see the ...

Congrats on your 9%! I wish I had your eye... working on it!

Definitely not fxpivots, but 3306 long wasn't a valid setup on my broker. There were never 2 closes above. The highest valid entry I had was 3296, which went 14 pips, so depending on money management...

I didn't take it because the 12:00 GMT and 14:20 GMT bars created some pretty major divergence.
- FFJeternal replied Jan 8, 2013
Ha! I misread this, too. I thought you *opened* a trade at 71... not closed it.

Thank you! (and thanks to snail69, too)
