Natural gas futures extend losses after supply report
U.S. natural-gas inventories rose 90 billion cubic feet on the week ended Sept. 12, the Energy Information Administration said Thursday. That was in line with Wall Street expectations, with analysts polled by Platts forecasting an increase between 88 bcf to 92 bcf. Natural gas futures added to losses following the data, with the October contract NGV14, -2.04% recently off 8 cents, or 2.1%, to $3.93 per million British thermal units.
