Market observers often divide investors into “smart money” and “dumb money.” Our research shows there may be a way to figure out which group you are in. The first place to look is prices, which reflect the interaction of smart money and dumb money and may contain valuable information about the proportion of either in the market. OK. But in trading and in this A vs B horse betting.... we have a 50/50 chance of being smart or dumb. That seems to be missing the real point. I'm not buying it....
The Smart money drives the market.
The dumb money are the retailers who do not have the inside information.
Maybe I just don't understand a word this writer just said. But, at least I KNOW I'm dumb money.*( Did I say that wrong... "At least I know I'm not the Smart Money")
