Former Disney star charged with robbing Canadian bank

Joey Cramer, a former Disney child star from the ‘80s, is behind bars.

Cramer was arrested by the Royal Coast Mountain Police in British Columbia on Sunday for allegedly robbing a Scotiabank on Thursday, April 28, according to the Coast Reporter.

The 42-year-old, who starred in 1986’s “Flight of the Navigator,” was officially charged with robbery, disguise with intent to commit an indictable offense, failing to stop for a peace officer and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.

At the time of the alleged crime, Cramer was wearing a shoulder-length wig, bandana and dark jacket as a disguise.

“Despite the fact that a disguise was used during the robbery, the suspect was quickly identified by some of our officers, who had recently dealt with him on an unrelated matter,” RCMP Constable Harrison Mohr relayed. “We hope that he community feels safer now that the suspect has been apprehended.”

“We can’t comment on any weapon at this time, other than to confirm no one was injured and no physical violence occurred,” Mohr added.
